Steps to use the App
Download EcocanApp on google store or play store; review the tutorial; sign up in under 2 minutes; and start your sustainability journey today
To verify authenticity of a product, and how much refundable deposit it carries, press the scanner icon, and scan the ECOCAN Security codes printed on the label of the product.
If the product is authentic, a verification page will pop up with product details; verification badge, product details, and applicable deposit money. If the product is illicit, it will fail the verification process and the App will instantly warn you
After enjoying your drink, tap the Stations icon, navigate to any ECO-Station near you to return your empties for recycling
Show your ECOCAN ID to the ECO-station Agent, handover the empties, and instantly get paid into your ECO-wallet. You will also receive a discount coupon upon returning a certain number of eligible bottles
Spend your deposit money as you please; Withdraw to M-Pesa, send to friends, donate to charity, or shop for essentials. You’re the boss!
To redeem your coupon, press the activate button, show your activated coupon to the cashier, and pay less for your next drink
