THE GREAT SALESPERSON'S FRIDAY
While many people sigh with relief on Friday, the great saleaperson knows that there is more that needs to be done. It is not the time to wind down.
Here are a few things to focus on this Friday:
○ Close the loop on every commitment - ask yourself the following questions;
- did I send what I promised?
- did I make the promised call?
- did I send the quotation?
- is there anything waiting for me?
This practice ensures that nothing is left hanging.
○ Review the pipeline - go through every opportunity. Every active opportunity must have a clear next action and date, if it doesn't, it is not being managed.
This is one of the most important activities that you should do on Friday.
○ Follow up on hot opportunities - identify 3-5 opportunities that could materially affect your results. Be intentional as you follow up. Don't send generic messages.
○ Develop next week's prospecting list - don't wait until Monday morning to make your plan. Research on your prospects, understand their business, identify any likely problem you can solve. This sets you ready to start selling on Monday instead of planning.
These are a few tips that your team can begin doing on Fridays. It is what separates high performance teams from those that struggle.
What other activity do you do on Friday that prepares you for the week ahead?
At Alycer Coaching, we have tools that can support your team to better plan their Fridays.
