SANEEN FEATURES

Let's learn some of the features from this farmer who has pedigree Saneen.

Colour_ white
Horns _ivory and always curves downward
Tail _straight not coiled
Short haired
The ears ,nose back part below the tail has this similar colour as if it has been lipsticked.

One thing to note about saneen goats is that they are sensitive to excess heat and therefore does best in cool areas. They originated from Switzerland

Years back a man was driving his car when the engine suddenly went off. He pushed the vehicle to the side of the road and popped the hood. He tried everything he knew but the car just wouldn’t start. Frustrated and wondering what to do this posh vehicle pulled up next to him. The driver, an evidently rich well dressed man hopped out of his car and asked the stranded driver what the problem with his car was. The stranded driver shrugged frustrated and said he had no idea. He couldn’t understandn why such an evidently rich man was taking interest in his mishap.

The stranger asked if he could have a look and the stranded guy said “no problem go right ahead. It won’t work”. The rich stranger had a look at the engine, touched and adjusted a few things here and there then called out to the frustrated driver “crank it up now”. The driver wasn’t really buying it but decided to be polite and proceed to turn on the engine. To his great surprise the car roared back to life. He revved the engine and the car was good as new.

He got out of the car without turning it off lest it went off again. He was so surprised by this rich man who didn’t look like he knew much about fixing cars. He asked “Why did you stop to help me and how did you even know what to do?”. The rich man wiped his hand with his handkerchief and said simply “I cannot stand to see any of my creation not doing what I made them to do”. With that he got back into his car and drove off.

That rich man was Henry Ford.

Even worse than Henry Ford, God cannot stand to watch any of His creation not do what He created us to do. Think about that and know, He will come to your aid.

A story is told of a farmer’s donkey that fell into a well. The animal cried loudly for hours, while the farmer tried to find some way of getting him out. Eventually, the farmer came to the decision that as the donkey was elderly, & the well had dried up & needed to be covered anyway; it just wasn't going to be possible to get the donkey out of the well..

He asked all of his neighbors to come & help him. They each grabbed a shovel & began to shovel dirt into the well.

The donkey realized what was happening & started to cry horribly & loudly. Then, to everyone's surprise, after a few shovelfuls of dirt the donkey quietened…

The farmer looked down into the well & was amazed at what he saw... with each shovelful of dirt, the donkey was doing something incredible: he was shaking off the dirt & stepping up on top of the dirt.

Eventually, to everyone’s surprise, the donkey reached the mouth of the well, stepped over the edge, & trotted out...

Life is going to throw dirt at you, all kinds of dirt... the trick to getting out of the hole is to shake the dirt off, & Use It to Step Up. Each of our problems is a step up. We can get out of the deepest holes if we don't give up...

Use the land they throw at you to get ahead!!!

Remember the 5 rules to achieve happiness:

1. Free your Heart from hate.

2. Free your Mind from distractions.

3. Simplify your Life.

4. Give More & expect less.

5. Love More &... shake off the dirt;
because in this life you have to be The Solution, not the problem!

WAYS TO MAKE YOUR CHICKEN LAY MORE.

1. Access to clean water:
They need clean, fresh water every day to support their bodily needs. I know, you see them drinking from muddy puddles and ditches but they really should have clean water. That murky water you see them drinking may contain parasites and bacteria that can make them sick.
If hens become dehydrated they will not lay eggs and it will take them a few days to start laying again.

2. Reducing Stress
Chickens can get stressed by small and inconsequential things such as a change of feed, loud noises, a squirrel in the run, and other trivial things that we would not even think about.

It is your job to try and keep the stress down to a minimum if you want your chickens to lay eggs.

3. Calcium

A hen that lacks calcium will lay soft-shelled or shell-less eggs. Soft shell eggs look like regular eggs but when you pick them up, they are not hard they are quite malleable in the hand. A shell-less egg looks exactly like it sounds, there may be a thin membrane holding everything inside, but there is no solid shell.

4. Enough Space
Chickens do not like to be crammed together. They like having enough space to flap their wings!
Inside the coop, each chicken should have 4 square feet of space, and outside in the run, they each need at least 8 square feet.
Just remember that crowding them can lead to health and behavioral issues.

They may start pecking and feather plucking, egg eating, and a host of other anti-social behaviors. The weaker birds get trampled on too and can suffer from injuries.

By giving them enough space you are providing for their mental and emotional well-being. A happy and content chicken is going to be healthier and more productive than a hen that is unhappy and depressed.

5. Parasites And Bugs

Bugs are not only irritating but they can be very bad for your hens’ health.

Mites in particular will suck your hens’ blood overnight.

In severe cases, this can lead to anemia and death, even in mild cases
