Joh 5:4 For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.
Joh 5:5 And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.
***SEASON & MISSING SEASON***
This portion of the scripture is not new especially to those who read their Bibles. The Holy Scripture records the story of a sick invalid that lay at a pool for thirty and eight years. Let that sink in.
At a given season, every year , an angel went down the pool , troubled the water and whosever stepped in the pool after the angel had troubled water ,could receive healing of whatever sickness he suffered from. And so, a multitude of sick people gathered and waited for that one particular moment.
Long story short. This one invalid had been at the pool for 38 years. In short , he had missed 38 seasons. The more aggressive invalids could step into the water before him. It was 38 years of waiting, 38 years of pain, 38 years of sorrow.
I have been reflecting on this for three days now. The following is true about seasons.
1. A season has a defined time.
2. Every season in life is ordained by God for His own glory.
3. It is possible to miss a season.
4. Missing a season is not end of you.
5. Every season needs preparation.
6. There is a season for everything under the season.
7. When a season is over, move to the next. Don't waste all your time lamenting about a failed season.
8. A season may not necessarily follow a certain routine, but every season has its own principles.
9. Still learning more
For this invalid, his season did not follow a certain routine. He encountered One greater than an angel and received complete healing. May God help us . We will not miss our season.
Good day and God bless you. Have a great week ahead.
