OUR HEARTS ARE HEAVY WITH SORROW
We are deeply saddened by the tragic fire incident at Utumishi Academy Girls’ Senior School.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones, the students, teachers, and the entire school community. We also wish a speedy recovery to all those receiving medical care and emotional support.

During this time of grief, we stand together in prayer and solidarity with everyone affected by this heartbreaking tragedy. May God grant comfort to the bereaved families, strength to the survivors, and eternal rest to the souls of those who have departed.

We recently held an impactful Teacher Training on Competency-Based Education (CBE) together with High Peak Primary, Junior and Senior Schools - Naivasha.

Over two days, teachers were equipped with practical skills on:
1. Understanding CBC curriculum designs.
2. Preparing professional teaching records.
3. Using ICT in teaching and learning.
4. Teaching literacy and numeracy
5. Applying Bloom’s Taxonomy in assessments

The sessions were interactive, engaging, and full of practical learning that teachers can take straight into their classrooms.

We are proud to support educators in delivering better learning experiences for every child.

What a successful day in Ol’Kalou!

We had the privilege of conducting a powerful training for Nyandarua County Early Childhood Development and Education (ECDE) Sub-County Coordinators, focused on strengthening leadership, coordination, and quality delivery in Early Childhood Education.

We were honored by the presence of:

✔ Chief Officer
✔ Director ECDE
✔ Deputy Director ECDE

Their participation reflects Nyandarua County’s strong commitment to investing in quality ECDE for every child.

Our CEO Moth Pritchard was honoured to serve as a guest speaker at the Kenya Secondary Schools Heads Association (KESSHA) Mbita/Suba West Sub-County Conference held at Legacy Hotel, Nakuru.

During the conference, he facilitated a session titled “CBC Made Simple,” focusing on practical approaches to understanding and implementing Competency-Based Education (CBE). The session provided an opportunity to engage with school leaders on strengthening collaborative leadership, enhancing curriculum implementation, and promoting learner-centered practices for improved educational outcomes.

We sincerely appreciate the invitation and the opportunity he was granted to interact with dedicated education stakeholders committed to advancing quality and competency-based education in Kenya. Such engagements continue to play a vital role in supporting effective curriculum implementation and fostering innovation in teaching and learning.

Our CEO Pritchard was honoured to serve as the Lead Trainer during a 3-day Books Review and Facilitator Training Workshop for the Manyatta Homeschooling Programme held in Maralal, Samburu (18th–20th February 2026) organized by Akili Dada.

During the workshop, he worked with community facilitators to review learning materials and strengthen teaching skills using participatory and learner-centered approaches.
Together he:
✔ Improved workbooks and facilitator guides.
✔ Strengthened facilitation skills in Language (Swahili and English), Mathematics, and life skills.
✔ Conducted micro-teaching sessions and peer learning.
✔ Promoted inclusive and community-based education practices.

It was encouraging to see facilitators grow in confidence and commitment to supporting learners in their communities. Grateful to all partners and participants who made this impactful training possible.
