A majestic nomadic tribe in the North African semi-deserts of Niger and Chad. A people rich in culture. In traditions deemed “different” from what we have heard of regarding African cultures.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The men of the Woodabe tribe don themselves with ostrich feathers, their best clothing and natural, meticulously done makeup for an annual courtship ceremony named the Gerewol. They put all their efforts to look beautiful and to dance for hours on end hoping to attract women.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The Woodabe stand out because unlike other cultures, the men work hard to look attractive for the women and not vice versa!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Dorcas and Gabriel, nurses in Kijabe, Kenya had no choice but to postpone their April 11 wedding due to the Corona Virus. They instead spent April 11 at work feeling terrible but still showing up for their patients.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This we would like to honor them. What a bummer to have to put your celebration on hold.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We also would like to thank you. We appreciate you nurses, and all other essential workers for all that you do for us.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
