YOUR CUSTOMER IS ALREADY RESEARCHING YOU.

And they are doing it on social media.

90.9% of Kenyan social media users aged 16+ use social media to research brands and products they are considering buying.

So when someone lands on your Instagram, TikTok, Facebook or LinkedIn page, what do they find?

A strategy?

Or just a collection of posts?

Your social media should help people understand **who you are, what you offer, why they should trust you and why they should choose you.

Because content without strategy can keep you busy without necessarily moving your business forward.

Swipe through the data.

Then ask yourself:

Is your social media strategy working as hard as your brand?

StrategiCrest can help you build it — or make it better.

Every exit statement has two possible stories: why he left, or who’s leading next. We always choose the second.

“Just explain the price increase without triggering backlash.”

We hear this a lot. And it’s almost never actually about the price.

Swipe to see how we reframe it; from justifying a number to narrating a value story.

The thinking happens before the writing does.

We went back to the boss’s notebook, and now we know why he carries two pens. 😅. We also found out he has a favourite on the team 😏

What we are learning from the meeting notes, this week, is that everyone running for office in Kenya next year is already seeking help communicating but many are still struggling with the basis.

When you’re preparing for elective politics, strategic communications is not about being everywhere, responding to everything or posting every day. It’s about knowing what you want people to remember, which conversations deserve your voice and what story you want to own.

In politics, attention is easy to chase. Relevance is harder to build.

And yes, the boss has notes. Lots of them.

At StrategiCrest, we don’t focus on telling you “we will get you media coverage.” We will help you build the strategic communications architecture that determines what people hear, understand, believe and remember about you.

In the first half of 2026, we had the privilege of serving as strategic communications partner to Africa Mega Agri Corp PLC (AMAC).

It was a dynamic engagement, this partnership came at a pivotal moment, as AMAC diversified from agriculture into new sectors. The StrategiCrest team met that moment with precision: building out the comms master plan and shaping how AMAC’s diversification story was told across platforms and media.

If you’re looking to have your story told with precision, and land with the audience that matters, let’s talk

Imagine checking your voter registration status, seeing "Not Applicable" next to your polling station, and immediately thinking something is wrong.

That's exactly what thousands of Kenyans likely felt last week. And to their credit, IEBC responded quickly with a clarification.

Days earlier, IEBC had to clarify a previous statement on what it meant by asking voters who had registered prior to the 2012 mass registration to do so.

The IEBC clarification posts are a lesson in what strategic communication should prevent.

Here's the thing: when institutions communicate only after confusion sets in, they spend more energy managing panic than building trust.

Proactive communication means:
✅ Mapping user-facing touchpoints in advance
✅ Writing the FAQ before the question trends
✅ Treating process milestones as storytelling opportunities

A few principles we have seen work better:

🔹 Anticipate the question before it's asked. If you know voters will check their status and see "N/A", explain it upfront; not after the worry spreads.

🔹 Design for the lowest-information audience. Don't assume people understand how registration works. Spell it out, simply, from day one.

🔹 Build a communication calendar around your process milestones. Every key step in the voter registration process is a communication moment. Own it proactively.

IEBC isn't doing anything wrong by clarifying; that's responsible. But the goal should be a public that never needed the clarification in the first place.

Trust isn't built in crisis mode. It's built in the quiet moments when institutions show up before they're asked.

‘Hapa kazi tu’, but the work starts before the questions do.
