SEAA‑Green Initiative: Clean‑Energy for Rural Growth
On Aug 12, Siganda Limited and Livingwood Ltd brought together 30 Local Service Providers (60% women) from Kakamega, Kisumu, and Siaya to explore clean‑energy opportunities in agri‑aquaculture through a powerful capacity-building and feedback session.
Feedback shows Local Service Providers are ready to move beyond awareness; they want to apply skills, generate income, and activate clean‑energy enterprises. Farmers are ready for practical, affordable, and inclusive solutions with strong demand for solar, biogas, clean cooking, e‑mobility, cold storage, and irrigation kits.

We welcome more partners to join us to convert this demand into entrepreneur cohorts, demonstration pilots, and financing pathways, linking clean‑energy adoption to productivity, income, inclusive growth, and climate resilience.

Our Founder Emily Musungu Ochanda participated in the Kenya Climate Innovation Center e-mobility six months program that culminated in a three day workshop this week, alongside other women entrepreneurs, and clean energy advocates.
We benefited from practical learning at KIRI EV, gained valuable insights on the opportunities in the e mobility value chain , and contributed as panelist in the discussion on areas that need to be enhanced in the policy to accelerate adoption and participation of women in the sub sector.
We are keen to take this further by applying the knowledge gained on e mobility in our capacity building programs in clean energy entrepreneurship, and co creation of sustainable livelihoods at the nexus of energy and other sectors with partners .
