God's perfect will far outweighs Man's permissive will.

‭Genesis 16:1-5 NIV‬
[1] Now Sarai, Abram’s wife, had borne him no children. But she had an Egyptian slave named Hagar; [2] so she said to Abram, “The Lord has kept me from having children. Go, sleep with my slave; perhaps I can build a family through her.” Abram agreed to what Sarai said. [3] So after Abram had been living in Canaan ten years, Sarai his wife took her Egyptian slave Hagar and gave her to her husband to be his wife. [4] He slept with Hagar, and she conceived. When she knew she was pregnant, she began to despise her mistress. [5] Then Sarai said to Abram, “You are responsible for the wrong I am suffering. I put my slave in your arms, and now that she knows she is pregnant, she despises me. May the Lord judge between you and me.”

Do not covet your neighbours wife.

‭Genesis 12:14-17, 20 NIV‬
[14] When Abram came to Egypt, the Egyptians saw that Sarai was a very beautiful woman. [15] And when Pharaoh’s officials saw her, they praised her to Pharaoh, and she was taken into his palace. [16] He treated Abram well for her sake, and Abram acquired sheep and cattle, male and female donkeys, male and female servants, and camels. [17] But the Lord inflicted serious diseases on Pharaoh and his household because of Abram’s wife Sarai.
[20] Then Pharaoh gave orders about Abram to his men, and they sent him on his way, with his wife and everything he had.

When God calls you for his service. It's a good idea to go along with your spouse and children.
Otherwise, the marriage may face a lot of struggles when the family is in a long distance relationship.
However in doing so, it's best practice to avoid hosting in-laws. It can become a fertile ground for conflict in your marriage. In my opinion, If you must host your in-laws, and siblings consider renting a separate house or room for them and maintain a healthy distance.

‭Genesis 12:4-5 NIV‬
[4] So Abram went, as the Lord had told him; and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he set out from Harran. [5] He took his wife Sarai, his nephew Lot, all the possessions they had accumulated and the people they had acquired in Harran, and they set out for the land of Canaan, and they arrived there.

Marriage can be polluted when entered with the wrong people for the wrong motives and produces ungodly descendants, who do not glorify God Almighty. (Genesis 6: 1-8 NLT)

Marriage between fallen angels aka Sons of God and women gave birth to a corrupted mixed breed of people called Nephilites or Nephilim.
Their inclination was evil.(sinful, corrupt—given over to sensual appetites) Genesis 6:3 AMP

Genesis 6:4 NLT
"In those days, and for some time after, giant Nephilites lived on the earth, for whenever the sons of God had in*******se with women, they gave birth to children who became the heroes and famous warriors of ancient times." Marriage is a relationship...Starts with knowing God, knowing yourself, and then knowing your spouse. The three then become one. The husband and wife unite to become one. And the couple and God become one through daily communion.

Before Marriage, there was Adam and Eve and God in the garden of Eden.
So, Adam and Eve had a relationship with God.

So it is with us, before saying I do. We must develop a relationship with the Creator of the Universe. His name is Jesus.

‭Genesis 1:26-27 NIV‬
[26] Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” [27] So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

Ndoa ni ya wawili. Ukiongeza watatu, umeharibu. Whether ni mke wa pili, au ni inlaw, au not rafiki beste yako, haijalishi. Ukiongeza third party, umeongeza thorn party.

No wonder God joined the two together and said, what God has put together, let no man put asunder.

In the garden of Eden entered a third party. Because Adam and Eve had known each other and had become one. God was the second party and was in covenant with Adam and Eve.
The third party was the serpent.
Third parties will always spoil the party.
To date,we are still witnessing the manifestations of the third party in the breakdown of marriages and dysfunctional families.

Genesis 2:23, 25 NIV‬
[23] The man said, “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman,’ for she was taken out of man.”
[25] Adam and his wife were both naked, and they felt no shame.

‭Genesis 3:1, 3, 5-6, 8 NIV‬
[1] Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”
[3] but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’ ”
[5] “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” [6] When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.
[8] Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden.

There's, no perfect Marriage under the Sun.

Because we Iive in a fallen world. Couples have to fight for their marriage to reclaim the space that was lost when sin entered the world. But God in his infinite mercy and grace through Jesus Christ offers reconciliation, redemption, and victory.
Your spouse is not the enemy, but the serpent aka the devil is and will continue to fight marriages until the return of Jesus Christ, which is nearer today than it was yesterday.

Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He introduced doubt about the instructions God had given the first couple. The serpent asked Eve, did God really say, 'You must not eat from any tree in the garden'?"

The serpent also introduced lies, by telling Eve that God was a liar. We see the serpent telling Eve, "You will not certainly die,"

After the great deception, the woman saw the fruit was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom. She took some and ate, and gave some to her husband.

‭Genesis 3:1, 3, 5 NIV‬

Marriage is a walk of holiness. Happiness is a by product when we get it right.
How?

By Loving Jesus more than your spouse.

‭Genesis 4:7 NIV‬
[7] If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.”

If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.”
