Giving to God:
Giving is first to God.
Jesus' sacrifice was for us, but not to us. His sacrifice was to the Father.
" Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love., just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as fragrance offering and sacrifice to God"
Our giving should be to God, not to people or even ourselves. Someone, Name withheld, sacrificed so much to educate a child whose father had died. Sadly, after the boy completed his studies and got empolyed, he disappeared without a trace. Not even a phone call to the foster parents.
Listen, when you give to God, one does not do it for the appreciation from people because many people may be thankless. God records everything. Take heart.
When you pay your tithe, you pay to men who represent God. Do not ever expect to be thanked or recognized. God will reward you. Shalom!
