A word of caution!

I have seen a lot of people post messages in which they declare that their vision for themselves is to “become a billionaire” or “the richest person in Africa, or even the world.”

I see nothing wrong with it, if you believe it really motivates you or stimulates your faith. I just want to share an observation:

I have met a lot of billionaires in my life. And believe me, there are not that many. Africa has less than 20. America has several thousand, and I have met at least 100 from there.

I have never met a billionaire who set being a billionaire as their vision when they started.
They will tell you about their passion for what they were doing, and how they hoped to make things better for others. Becoming billionaires was not an intended outcome. I never had that as an intended outcome personally.

My observation is that people who set making a lot of money as their goal either come short, or end up doing something tragic for themselves, their community, or environment.

“If you want to be successful in life, identify a human need, and reach out to solve it, in a sustainable way that is not illegal, does not harm others, or the environment.” [my paraphrase of what the great Evangelist TL Osborne once said]

Tell your neighbor, it is time to move on unto maturity.

The Lie said to the Truth, "Let's take a bath together, the well water is very nice. The Truth, still suspicious, tested the water and found out it really was nice. So they got naked and bathed. But suddenly, the Lie leapt out of the water and fled, wearing the clothes of the Truth.
The Truth, furious, climbed out of the well to get her clothes back. But the World, upon seeing the naked Truth, looked away, with anger and contempt. Poor Truth returned to the well and disappeared forever, hiding her shame. Since then, the Lie runs around the world, dressed as the Truth, and society is very happy...
Because the world has no desire to know the naked Truth.
