Farmers are really excited that they finally have a product they can identify with and they are saying "se ni gwa mzedu ghoni". Years of exploitation by the big boys who do nothing to address their needs are finally over. Prices are lower, affordable and the products are of higher quality. Dairy and poultry farming is starting to make "cents" once again. Last week pig farmers who could not easily access pig feed approached us and voila they had their feeds!

Its very disturbing that Brookside Dairy Ltd should buy milk from local farmers at Ksh.23/= and sell the milk at Ksh.110 per litre. This needs to stop.

Taita Feeds was launched on 22nd November 2011 and is now manufacturing Dairy Meal for dairy cattle, Layers Mash. Chick and Duck Starter Mash, Kienyeji mash for poultry and Sow and Weaner Mash for pigs.
