Let me show you how I approach problems/challenges.
The Scenario:
π€πΌ Goldman Sachs wants to protect it's trade secrets, and according to anonymous sources cited by Bloomberg, they're asking junior recruits to pledge their loyalty every three months.
π΄ This is because some recruiters from private equity firms try to poach new recruits during their training, which risks confidential information being leaked.

My Solution:
β
I would highly suggest that new recruits be given a confidentiality agreement to sign before they even start training.
π’ Confidentiality agreements are common, and I'm pretty sure they're already in use, but I feel it's necessary to mention them based on the current situation.
β
Instead of an oath of loyalty, there could be a transparency agreement to go along with the confidentiality agreement.
ππ½ββοΈ If a recruit plans to pursue a job with other firms, intends to work with a recruiter from other firms or anything else along those lines, they would need to be clear and transparent about it as soon as they took action on those thoughts.
π’ This agreement could hold before, during, and after training.
β
In the event that a recruit did decide to leave, another confidentiality agreement could be signed so there is a clear understanding about the importance of confidentiality to the firm.
π’ I feel like these suggestions are less intimidating than a loyalty oath, focusing more on the importance of confidentiality and transparency.
β οΈ Regardless of any agreements or oaths that are signed, some people will still share confidential information, intentionally or not.
ππ½ββοΈWith that being said, I hope this gives you a better idea about how I operate as a consultant.
I came up with these solutions on my own, so imagine what could be accomplished if I was working with Goldman Sachs directly!
π€πΌ If you're ever interested in working with me shoot me a message and let's see where it goes!
π Have you solved any problems lately?
