We’re thrilled to welcome Zoe and Georgi, two incredible interns from Germany to the Collab with Kat team this fall! With strong academic backgrounds and fresh perspectives, they bring valuable skills in research, design, and community development.

In Siem Reap, they’ve already jumped right into our Community Reinvestment Program, assisting on the ground with activities that matter most to local families. From prototyping community gardens to conducting outreach with partners about what services are most needed this season, their support is helping us build the foundation for stronger, more resilient communities.

We’re so excited to have them join us in this journey and can’t wait to see the impact they’ll help create over the coming months. Welcome to the team! 🙌

This month, we’re celebrating one year since Katey joined our team — and what a year it’s been. 💜

One of her standout accomplishments has been her work with Sisters Unchained , an organization supporting young women and girls impacted by incarceration.
Katey worked closely with their staff to build a custom Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Toolkit designed specifically for their programs, staff capacity, and community goals.

🧭 She helped define clear program outcomes and a framework.
📅 Built an easy-to-follow MEL timeline.
📊 Integrated both qualitative and quantitative tools.

🧑‍🏫 And most importantly — led a training session to make sure their team felt ready to use it.
Katey, thank you for your dedication, patience, and thoughtful approach to supporting our partners. Your work is helping nonprofits build systems that last. 💪✨

At Collab with Kat, we know that the best way to show up for our partners is to first take care of ourselves. 💜 🙌

Working alongside nonprofits and grassroots leaders is inspiring—but also takes a lot of energy and time. To stay grounded, our team makes space to de-stress and recharge in simple ways:

⚽ Playing football together after a long week

🌿 Spending time outdoors to reconnect with nature

🤝 Reflecting as a team on why this work matters

✨ What’s your favorite way to recharge?

Add brochure designing to our growing list of services! ⚙️🤝

Our team recently worked with Siem Reap Eco Tours, a Khmer-led social enterprise that invites travelers to experience the country’s culture authentically. At Siem Reap Eco-Tours, profits from every tour booked are reinvested tangibly into the communities at each tour stop.

At Collab with Kat, we were excited to collaborate on their tour flyer design—tasked with capturing the heart and soul of their mission. Our goal was to reflect their blend of cultural immersion, community impact, and heartfelt storytelling in every visual.

We’re very excited to celebrate a huge milestone for our Timor-Leste March 2025 Leadership Accelerator participant, Naroman ba Futuru

After applying the donor communication skills they gained from our workshop, they shared with us that they recently secured their first-ever government grant in seven years—a major step forward in building long-term sustainability. 🙌

Naroman ba Futuru is dedicated to breaking down barriers to inclusion for people with disabilities. In a country still navigating poverty and development challenges, the organization advocates for equal opportunities, respect for human rights, and community empowerment.

Over the past few months, the Naroman ba Futuru team has been meeting with key government stakeholders—including the Secretariat of State for Training and Employment, Secretariat of State for Forestry, Members of Parliament, and the Ministry of Education. Their aim has been clear: to build strong, permanent partnerships that will support their vital community programs.

This effort has already paid off, with funding now secured from the Secretariat of State for Professional Training and Employment, and promising discussions underway with the Secretariat of State for Forestry to support their agricultural work. 🌱

We are honored to have played a small role in supporting Naroman ba Futuru’s journey, and we couldn’t be more excited to see their dedication and hard work recognized at the national level. Congratulations to the entire team! 💜
