Bacterial genome sequencing in the clinic: bioinformatic challenges and solutions

2013년 겨울 Nature Reviews Genetics에 AOP로 소개된 본 글은, 분자진단 시장에서 박테리아 전장유전체(WGS) 분석법이 기존의 미생물 분자진단(molecular diagnostics, MDx) 방법을 훌륭히 보완할 것으로 예상하면서, 미생물의 전장유전체 분석과 데이터 저장을 효과적으로 처리하기 위한 방법으로 클라우드 컴퓨팅을 추천하고 있다. 저자들은 미국 메릴랜드 대학의 미생물-면역학과 유전체 연구소 소속으로 “CloVR” 라는 클라우드 기반 미생물 유전체 분석 플랫폼을 만든 그룹의 일원이기도 하다.
