"The two most important days of your life are the day you're born and the day you find out why." Mark Twain

This quote hits close to home today because I've been reading a lot lately on purpose and understanding your why, and there are many different takes on this ...

But when is that exactly? LOL

Maybe I'm getting tied up in semantics, but 'finding' your why, or 'finding' your purpose (to me), means that it is somewhere out there to find, or it may be hidden, or in an obscure place somewhere in a remote corner of the world ...

BUT

What if your purpose is within, and you just need to set it free and then create a life around it?

What could be possible if the purpose you're searching for, is already inside?

What if we quiet the mind, and listen?

There are many paths to discovering your why. This is just one.
But when you get there—don’t forget to build the life that honours it.

Keeping it simple today...

Coaching is a relationship between two people, and together they journey towards a goal.

It really is a partnership, a two way dialogue, that can expand the possibilities of reaching that goal.

I like to describe it as another perspective; as a coach I offer the possibility of other perspectives. Together we can look, we can discuss, we can be curious to what else there is to see.

Being called a coach always makes me giggle because when I was growing up, a coach was someone who headed up a sports team, and now there are so many different types of coaches, and the word Coach has expanded into so many other industries and into so many aspects of life.

I truly believe there is a coach out there for everyone, no matter what you would like to work on, or what your goal is, there is a Coach who can help you achieve your goals, wants, or desires.

And even in sports, I believe the role of Coach has evolved beyond the game.

If there is something you want to work on, or achieve, and you don't know where to start, let's talk! ✨

For me coaching is about accountability, but that doesn't just mean someone being there to hold you accountable to the tasks, it's also someone to walk with you through the change, to be your shoulder when you need the support, or to be your ear when all you want to do is vent.

Coaching with compassion is about listening to your client and leaning in to their needs; holding space for them to truly be themselves, and being present for them as they grow and evolve.

I would be honoured to be that person for you ... let's talk!✨

Happy Friday!

Sometimes I get asked, 'when should I get a coach?' or 'do you think I need a coach?'

And the short answer is, only when you're ready!

I fully appreciate that we all generally know what we should be doing differently to make the changes we want to see in our lives, but the question isn't how to make the change, THE QUESTION IS WHEN

When someone is ready to quit smoking, they will

When someone is ready to make a lifestyle change to their diet and exercise, they will

When someone wants to improve a relationship, they will
..but before this, it either won't happen, or it won't stick.

When you are ready for a change, speak to a coach,

they can help you get started, keep you motivated, and see you through to the end!✨

A principle shared by the International Coach Federation (ICF) says… ‘People are naturally creative, resourceful and whole.’
..and this slight mindset shift allows us as coaches to start from a place of experience and a place of understanding.

This belief means that I know that you know what you need to do, I know that you know the answers, and I know that you know how to get there ... where I come in, is to help you on this journey.

Together we can clear the debris, remove any barriers, discuss the possible challenges, and, step-by-step, get you to where you want to be!

If this resonates with you, reach out, let's talk! ✨

Coaching really is a relationship, or a partnership, between two people - so when choosing a coach:

1. Be clear about your goals

Decide what you want to work on—life change, career, relationships, confidence, work-life balance, etc. This helps narrow down coaches who specialize in your area.

2. Research Credentials and Experience and check their coaching style

Look for coaches with formal training (e.g., ICF certification), relevant background, and client testimonials. Experience in your area of interest is more important than general popularity. Some coaches are directive and goal-oriented, others more reflective and holistic. Watch their videos, read blogs, or attend a webinar to get a feel.

3. Schedule Chemistry Calls

Most coaches offer a free consultation or a chemistry call. Use it to assess how comfortable, heard, and motivated you feel with them. Trust your gut and choose the right coach based on connection.

4. Discuss Methods, Structure and Logistics

Ask about session format, frequency, tools used (e.g., assessments, journaling), and how progress is measured. Consider cost, scheduling flexibility, and whether sessions are in-person or virtual. Make sure it fits your lifestyle.

5. Check for Ethical Standards

A good coach respects boundaries, maintains confidentiality, and refers out when issues go beyond their scope (like therapy).

6. Get Started! ✨

My favourite part of coaching is when I ask a question and - CLICK - something magic happens - the person experiences a piece falling into place...

and I can see it happening on their face, hear it in their voice, and watch their whole body language change.

It's a moment where something that was locked inside, comes to light...

And it's MAGIC! ✨

Just taking a moment to say Happy Father's Day to the dads that are, were, and will be. To the men who are step-dads, fur-dads, and dad role models - today we celebrate you! 💙

I absolutely love this quote, it's so raw and so real!

Change always seems hard at first,
Then we sit in it and wonder WT* are we doing? ....
Only to discover how beautiful it is on the other side.

I would love to help you through change, sit with you and hold space for the messy, and watch you walk off into the beauty.

Looking ahead to your next goal?

Is it within your reach, or are you seeing obstacles in your way?

Coaching looks ahead, to what will be, and then we make a plan to get there.

We speak about what those barriers could be ...

And then we work to remove those 'things' that may be in the way; whether physical, emotional, or even just those reoccurring negative beliefs.

If you want to look ahead and have all the things you so desire ...

Let's talk! ✨
