🗓 November 25, 1759 – The Great Baalbek Earthquake
The Temple of Bacchus in Baalbek suffered major damage when its 11-meter-high lintel shifted, leaving the central keystone precariously suspended.

19th century: A masonry pillar was placed under the keystone to prevent collapse.
