As part of the project “empowering women and strengthening the Resilience of Vulnerable Rural and Urban Communities in South Lebanon and Beirut” funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and In partnership with Welthungerhilfe (WHH), food parcels and hygiene kits were distributed to displaced families living outside of shelters in the Jezzine District and Zahrani area. This support aims to help meet urgent needs and improve basic living conditions for families facing difficult circumstances. Together, we continue to stand with communities in need and provide essential assistance with dignity and care.

Since the start of the war in March 2026, we have been responding on the ground, providing support across food assistance, relief distributions, protection, and essential services, particularly in South Lebanon and hard-to-reach communities.
Together with our partners, we have reached communities where needs have been greatest, including underserved areas, while working across multiple sectors to address urgent priorities. This work continues, with several interventions still ongoing as we remain committed to supporting communities through recovery and beyond.
This reflects the strength of partnership, local presence, and collective action.

التوعية بمخاطر الذخائر غير المنفجرة (EORE) هي شريان حياة، فهي تمنح الناس المعرفة اللازمة لحماية أنفسهم وعائلاتهم في البيئات الخطرة. وفي الملاجئ، توفر هذه الجلسات الوعي والطمأنينة في أصعب الأوقات.

In shelters, our team delivered EORE sessions for children, with Sukkar leading the way.
What began as play quickly turned into something more: laughter, questions, and moments where children made sense of things in their own way.
Step by step, the messages became familiar, simple, and easy to carry with them beyond the session.

في الملاجئ، قدّم فريقنا جلسات التوعية من مخاطر الألغام والذخائر غير المنفجرة (EORE) للأطفال، وكان سكر في المقدمة.
ما بدأ كلعب تحوّل تدريجيًا إلى ما هو أعمق ضحك، وأسئلة، ولحظات بدأ فيها الأطفال يفهمون بطريقتهم الخاصة.
ومع الوقت، أصبحت الرسائل أقرب إليهم، أبسط، وأسهل أن تبقى معهم خارج الجلسة.

In times of war, the dangers that remain after the headlines fade are often the most enduring. Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE) is not optional—it is essential. It protects lives by addressing threats that continue long after conflict has shifted elsewhere.

Disrupted environments and limited access to information only increase the risk, making awareness and education even more critical. EORE is not separate from survival; it is part of it.

Raising awareness is not about diverting attention, but about acknowledging that safety extends beyond the visible. In uncertain times, informed communities are stronger and more protected.
