Two solar offers can both say 5 kW hybrid.

But that does not mean both homes will get the same backup time.

kW is the power the inverter can serve at one time. It helps decide what can run together.

kWh is the stored energy in the battery. It helps decide how much usable energy is available.

Backup hours come from the actual load list, usable battery energy, selected backup circuits, protection settings and proper commissioning.

Is the offer for a complete installed backup system?

Is it an inverter and battery kit?

Or is it only a component price?

Those are different comparisons.

A complete hybrid system may include panels, inverter, battery, wiring, AC and DC protection, earthing, isolators, monitoring, commissioning, documents and handover. The warranty route and support responsibility should also be clear before installation.
