🔬 How a CO₂ Fire Extinguisher Works
1. Pull the safety pin.
2. Aim the discharge horn at the base of the fire.
3. Squeeze the operating lever.
4. Liquid CO₂ travels through the siphon tube.
5. As pressure drops, CO₂ expands into extremely cold gas and dry ice particles (-78.5°C).
6. The gas displaces oxygen around the flames.
7. Cooling and oxygen displacement stop combustion.
8. Continue sweeping until the fire is completely extinguished.
9. Monitor the area for possible re-ignition.
10. Report and replace/recharge the extinguisher immediately after use.
