I truly believe in serendipity.

In 2017, I was invited by the publisher of a Taiwanese jewellery magazine to write my first published article. I remember wondering who the author was on the very next page, writing about emeralds.

Years later, I finally found out that it was Wang Hao.

The Earth keeps turning, and the world is indeed small.

In 2026, I finally had the pleasure of meeting Wang Hao in person at KELLY GEMS, my gemstone trading company in Sri Lanka. What made the moment even more memorable was that you were the one who pointed at the magazine and said, “That’s me!”😊

I believe some encounters are meant to happen.

Once, we were separated by only a single page in a magazine. Today, we are standing face to face.

Looking forward to more conversations and opportunities to share our passion for gemstones together.

In 2019, when you were facing serious financial difficulties during the construction of your commercial building, you came to me in tears, telling me that you were overwhelmed and even expressing thoughts of ending your life. You asked for my help.

At a time when, to my understanding, others around you were unwilling to assist, I chose to stand by you. I provided you with USD 60,000, together with a large, collector-grade, unheated Sri Lankan blue sapphire. I did so because I trusted you and wanted to help you through an extremely difficult period.

Over the years, I have never asked you to pay me any interest. My only request has been that you honor your original promise by repaying the equivalent value of what I provided, based on the exchange rate at that time.

Today, it appears that your circumstances have changed significantly. You have completed your building, enjoy a successful lifestyle, and have recently undertaken the pilgrimage that is deeply meaningful to Muslims. This leads me to ask a sincere question: if an outstanding promise remains unfulfilled, how can one feel at peace before God? Is this consistent with the ethical principles and teachings of Islam?

If you consider yourself a person of integrity, I respectfully ask that you fulfill the commitment you made and repay the equivalent value you promised. By doing so, you will honor your word and preserve the dignity and reputation of your family.

Gemstones submitted at our Beruwala collection center will be forwarded directly to the Swiss laboratory and returned within approximately four weeks together with the official Gübelin Gem Lab report.

Most importantly, clients will enjoy the same laboratory fees as those charged by Gübelin Gem Lab Switzerland, with no additional shipping or insurance costs.
