Pleased to share that we have successfully commenced another Lean Manufacturing Lecture Series in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Institute of Textile & Apparel (SLITA) for Diploma students. This initiative reflects a strong commitment towards developing future industry professionals by bridging academic knowledge with real-world manufacturing practices.
Lean manufacturing is not just a set of tools it is a powerful mindset that drives efficiency, eliminates waste, and creates value across the entire production system. In today’s highly competitive apparel industry, where speed, quality, and cost are critical, lean principles play a vital role in achieving operational excellence and sustaining global competitiveness.
Through this lecture series, we aim to equip students with practical insights on how lean can transform apparel manufacturing by improving productivity, reducing lead times, enhancing quality, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. More importantly, it builds a new generation of professionals who think analytically, act efficiently, and contribute meaningfully to organizational success.
This is truly a collaborative effort, and I appreciate the opportunity to contribute to shaping the future of the apparel industry through knowledge sharing and capability building.
