You want to but you find time for it?

If you are spending time amidst a hectic work schedule, you are the one who mostly needs to meditate & be focused. Not having a reserved time or a place to meditate should never keep you away from experiencing the bliss of meditation.

You should be able to maintain a meditational mind throughout your day even whilst performing your daily tasks. How? Pay attention to yourself. Be mindful of your own self. Mindfulness meditation is the key to higher productivity in whatever task you are engaged in.

For eg:- If you are now holding your phone in your hand and reading this post, you should be able to feel your hands touching the phone, your feet touching the ground, your fingers moving up and down on the screen to scroll through the newsfeed.

Simply, you should be able to feel the present moment.

You should be vigilant and awakened to the present senses.

Research has found that being mindful in this manner does relieve your stress. It is a stress-busting activity. When you keep on practicing it, you will see that what matters is neither the gone past nor the future yet to come, but the present living moment. Most people are living in memories where they miss out on the joyfulness of the present moment. Some keep on fantasizing or worrying about a future moment that is highly unpredictable.

Whatever you are doing now, if you keep on doing it mindfully, you will do it well.

What skills do you need to be a ' '? 🔍

Are you a person who is passionate about demystifying the mystics using science research methodology? Well, you have then passed the initial assessment to qualify for research.

From small days, we have been marveled by the unique creations of the universe, let's call it nature! We wanted to find out why certain things are the way are, and why others are not. Unfortunately, this curiosity & openness to innovative ways of thinking did not last long with our busy schedules of 9-5 work. Some of you may have shifted into professional careers with research. However, there is a set of skills that every researcher should be possessing to excel in their career.

1. Patience - This is an essential skill that you need to develop. It might take days & months for you to get the results of certain experiments & tests. Throughout the period, you need to stay patient while being optimistic about your results. Never feel uneasy, or stressed about the unpredictable future. There are two possibilities, either you get positive results or negative. Whichever, you should be able to troubleshoot and come up with new protocols and further progression.

2. Strong attention to detail - You should have a good eye that is open and attentive to minute details. However, along with that, it is ideal to have the bigger picture in mind. Let's be focused!

3. Communication - You need to have excellent verbal & written communication skills. Why? As a researcher, you will have to share your findings with the other scientists in the industry; through peer-reviewed journals, presentations &, etc. Not only that, you have to present them to the lay community in a way understandable. You are skilled for this buddy!

4. Interpersonal Skills - This is one of the key features of a researcher. You should be having strong skills to work well & effectively with the research team. You should be open to new ideas, listen to others, question, discuss, convince & work collaboratively.

5. Project Management Skills - This involves quality planning. You should be able to set defined specific objectives for reaching the primary objective of the research. Time management, resource management, budget handling are key in this.

In addition to this, you need to have the technical skills required for you to conduct the research. Be it IT skills, data analysis, tools & machinery operation &, etc. Keep in mind that desk skills are as equally important as lab/field skills. You need to be equipped with both to excel in your work!

In addition to all these, what is essentially important?

my dear friend. The self-motivation to keep you ongoing despite the hardships, failures, mistakes & drawbacks you come across throughout research. If you have it, everything will be in place for you!

Good Luck Buddy! With all the hard work, we know you deserve it! Worried about the title you have now? Have a long way to go for getting that renowned title 'Scientist'?

Look here, you already are a Scientist! Keep going! Be focused! You'll reach there sooner!

We have to accept the fact that COVID-19 shattered all our dreams of going beyond and further in our livelihood. But, will our grumbles settle things out? Nah, negative.

What can we do to our lives during this period?

+ Try to learn the new technology & see what you can perform online to grab your market share
+ Use your time wisely to spend with loved ones
+ Look around & see a bit of nature. Maybe you won't get another free time to enjoy the chirping of birds and the rustling of leaves.
+ Check up on your neighbors to see if they need any aid. It is high time you get to know each other. Remember to follow the COVID guidelines
+ Get a good rest and a sleep, you will have to work harder than ever to keep up the pace with the world once things are settled.
+ For the ones who had a hard time with a tedious work schedule, it is time to refresh your circadian rhythm. Give your mind & body a good rest.
+ Expand your online network. Be mindful to make it a productive one.
+ Aha, you have got time now to filter your network, do not hesitate to remove scams, frauds, and fake ones.
+ Try new recipes and have fun with innovative meals!
+ Always wanted to be a writer, but restricted time never allowed you to write? Buddy, it's high time to give your long awaited desire a chance to groom up!
+ Don't forget to do some online learning as well to brush up your memory and skills.
+ Shall we do a bit of yoga, meditation & exercises to be physically & mentally fit?

The ones who are able to SURVIVE & MAKE SOMETHING BETTER out of difficult situations are the ones to be cherished.

If you do well when things are running smoothly, yeah, you are an achiever. But, if you do well when things are going upside down in a disordered manner, you are a LEGEND! Which one do you want to be?
