List of Critically Endangered Animal Species:

Threatened and endangered species are found in reserves, particularly the Sinharaja Forest Reserve.

* Purple-faced Langur: (Presbytis senex)

* Sri Lankan Wood Pigeon: (Columba torringtoni)

* Green-billed Coucal: (Centropus chlororrhynchus)

* Sri Lankan White-headed Starling: (Sturnus senex)

* Sri Lankan Blue Magpie: (Cissa ornata)

* Ashy-headed Babbler: (Garrulax cinereifrons)

* Sri Lankan Broad-billed Roller: (Eurystomus orientalis irisi)

Sri Lanka is an amphibian hotspot with many endemic species, some of which are critically endangered due to threats like forest loss, agrochemicals, and habitat drying.

* Kandyan dwarf frog: (Adenomus kandianus)
Webless shrub frog: (Pseudophilautus hypomelas)

* Kelaart's starry shrub frog: (Pseudophilautus stellatus)

* Nöllert's toad: (Duttaphrynus noellerti)

* The Lankanectes pera toad (Lankanectes pera)

Other shrub frogs from the Pseudophilautus genus, such as the elegant shrub frog (P. decoris), Moore's shrub frog (P. mooreorum), golden-eyed shrub frog (P. ocularis), and Stuart's shrub frog (P. stuarti).

Found in the Knuckles Mountain Range, this species is also
Critically endangered and faces significant threats to its habitat
loss.
* Pethiyagoda's crestless lizard (Calotes pethiyagodai):
A species restricted to the biodiversity-rich Knuckles Mountain
Range.
* Ceratophora erdeleni:
Another agamid endemic to the Rakwana hill zone, classified as
critically endangered.
