Strengthening International Partnerships for Regional Growth

The Chamber of Commerce and Industries of Yarlpanam (CCIY) was honored to host H.E. Dr. Purna Bahadur Nepali, Ambassador of Nepal, at our office for a meaningful and constructive dialogue with our Board of Directors. This engagement provided a valuable platform to exchange insights and explore avenues for future collaboration.

Key discussions focused on:
🔹 The region’s evolving economic landscape
🔹 Diaspora-driven investment opportunities
🔹 The current economic and political climate of the region
🔹 Strengthening bilateral ties between Sri Lanka and Nepal
🔹 Enhancing tourism collaboration between Nepal and the Northern region of Sri Lanka

During the discussion, His Excellency also expressed a strong interest in promoting tourism linkages between Nepal and Northern Sri Lanka. He noted the cultural similarities between the two regions, particularly highlighting the shared richness in traditions, as well as the comparable taste and aroma of local cuisines.

This visit reflects CCIY’s ongoing commitment to fostering international partnerships, promoting investment opportunities, and driving sustainable economic growth in the Northern region. We look forward to building stronger connections and unlocking new avenues of cooperation between Sri Lanka and Nepal.
