Every year, thousands of talented Sri Lankan Biology students dream of wearing a white coat.

Many work incredibly hard.

Some qualify for local medical faculties.

Many equally capable students do not.

For our family, the answer was Yes.

A Different Path. The Same Dream.

After completing G.C.E. A/L in the Biology stream, my daughter attempted to enter a local medical faculty three times.

Despite her determination, she was not fortunate enough to secure a place.

Like many parents, we thought the dream had come to an end.

Then, during the COVID-19 period, we discovered something very few Sri Lankan families knew about...

The IMAT (International Medical Admissions Test)—a pathway to Italian Government Medical Universities, many of which are internationally recognised and offer English-medium medical programmes.

Today, she is proudly studying Medicine at the University of Messina, Italy, progressing towards becoming a Western-qualified doctor through one of Europe's respected public university systems.

Even more encouraging, eligible international students can apply for Italian Government scholarships and financial support, making this pathway more affordable than many families imagine.
