“The race is not to the swift…” — Ecclesiastes 9:11
If you’ve ever felt left behind in life—watching others advance while you remain in the same place—take heart. Scripture reminds us that success is not determined by speed, skill, or having all the advantages. Life isn’t a straight race where the fastest automatically win. God works in ways that defy human timelines.
Your journey is not delayed. It’s being shaped.
Ecclesiastes 9:11 teaches that time and chance happen to all, but it also quietly assures us that God’s purpose is never rushed and never late. What looks like a setback may be preparation. What seems slow may be steady growth.
If you feel overlooked or behind, hold on. God has not forgotten you. Your moment will come—right on time.
Keep trusting. Keep moving. Your story isn’t over.

Barnabas’ original name was Joseph, a Levite from Cyprus. The apostles gave him the name Barnabas, meaning “Son of Encouragement” (Acts 4:36–37). His character was evident early in the church: he sold a field he owned and laid the money at the apostles’ feet, demonstrating generosity and commitment to the community of believers.

Be careful with people who are close friends with those who hate you.
It’s not always about paranoia — it’s about patterns.
If they can sit comfortably with those who bad-mouth, sabotage, or misrepresent you, they can just as comfortably sit silently while you’re being torn apart.
Distance doesn’t require drama. Protect your peace.
