🎓 WHAT SCHOOL HAS TAUGHT US vs WHAT LIFE TEACHES😵💫
School taught us to sit down, raise our hands, color inside the lines, and never copy anyone’s work.
Life teaches the opposite. It shouts, “Stand up. Speak up. Draw new lines. And please—get a mentor, don’t try to figure it out on your own!”
In school, success meant beating others to be in first place.
In life, success means helping others win with you. In fact, the more people who win, the stronger the village, the richer the nation.
School warned us: “Work alone,” "independent work", they say, but Life rewards teamwork. Collaboration is the new currency. 🥴 Sadly, billions haven't figured this out yet.🥴
School praised perfect grades.
Life rewards problem-solvers, risk-takers, and creative minds who don’t mind getting an “F” before they finally get it right.😱😱 Just think how much you would have accomplished if you were not afraid of "failure".🤑🤑🤑
School shaped us to be employees—trained to clock in, wear uniforms, and follow instructions.🧑🌾🧑🌾🧑🌾🧑🌾
Life needs us to be builders—employers, investors, creators—who decide how we spend our time, money, and energy.🤸🤸🧘🧘
I’m not saying school has no value. It does have a certain value. But for too long, many of us—especially here in Liberia and across Africa—have been trained to survive in systems that were never designed to make us thrive.
Systems that encourage regurgitation of information and stifles exploration of knowledge and innovation.
Now is the time to re-educate ourselves.
💡 Now is the time to unlearn fear and learn freedom.
💡 To stop waiting for permission and start taking ownership.
💡 To stop just attending school—and start attending to our lives.🙏
🤔 I'm curious, though: what has Life taught you that School didn't?🤔🤔🤔
