What do you use lettuce for? Salads, wraps, sandwiches?

You will soon get it at Green Hectares Farm ha Makhoathi. They can grow over 12000 heads at a go and it gets ready in under 8 weeks only, not 12.

From installation → to production

On the 7th of March 2026, we officially transplanted lettuce, coriander, and basil at our Makhoathi project-and now, the system is in full production mode.

But here's what most people don't see:
Hydroponic farming isn't just about growing plants-it's about precision. Now pair hydroponic farming with AI and IoT technologies, you now have a complete automated farming platform, that’s why we have built Farmflex, to remove guesswork from agriculture.

Every transplant marks the start of a carefully controlled cycle: water, nutrients, oxygen, and timing all working together to produce clean, consistent, high-quality crops.

Why does this matter?
Because this is how we:
• Grow more food using less water
• Produce all year round, regardless of the climate
• Reduce post-harvest losses through predictable harvest cycles
• Supply fresh, premium herbs and greens to the market

This handover isn't the end of installation-it's the beginning of production, income, and impact.

Watch this space. The future of farming in Lesotho is not coming... It's already growing.

Last week Tuesday 10th March 2026, the Lema Agrivest team had the privilege of participating in the Herders as Stewards: Ecological Restoration & Biodiversity Conservation initiative at Makhaleng Catchment, Setibing.

This wasn’t just another event for us, it directly speaks to the heart of what we stand for.

At Lema Agrivest, we believe that sustainable agriculture goes beyond production. It’s about restoring ecosystems, protecting biodiversity, and empowering communities to become custodians of their land. Seeing herders actively involved in clearing invasive species and learning about rangeland rehabilitation reinforced a powerful truth: real climate action starts at community level.

Why this matters to us:
1. Healthy ecosystems = resilient food systems
2. Biodiversity conservation supports long-term agricultural productivity
3. Community-driven solutions create lasting impact

As a turnkey climate-smart agriculture enterprise, our work in hydroponics and aquaponics is only one part of the solution. Supporting land restoration and environmental stewardship ensures that future generations inherit a system that can sustain them.

We are proud to have been part of this impactful initiative alongside key partners: EarthCare Alliance, Vodacom Lesotho Foundation, and Boloka Waste Management , and others — all working together to drive meaningful change on the ground.

2026 Has Officially Kicked Off

This small space tells a powerful story. In just 3×7sqm, on a paved area, we are growing 360 vegetables using hydroponics — proving that food production is no longer limited by soil, space, or climate.

This project marks Lesponix Collective’s first installation of 2026, and it represents much more than infrastructure. It represents people, skills, and confidence. With Lesponix Collective (market access project under Lema Agrivest), we don’t just install systems and walk away.

We hand-hold our clients through the entire journey:
🌿 Learning the basics of hydroponics
🌱 Transplanting seedlings into the system
✂️ Pruning for healthy growth
💧 Daily system maintenance
🧺 Harvesting quality, market-ready produce

Capacity building is at the heart of our work. When farmers understand why and how the system works, they don’t just grow vegetables — they grow independence, resilience, and opportunity. This is how we transform small spaces into productive food systems and communities into confident producers.

2026 is just getting started.
The future of farming is here — and it’s growing without soil.
