There are places on Earth that do not simply impress us — they remember us. Just less a month ago I was folding my son’s T-shirt from Moab and thought when I ll be there again ! Life less than a month later brought me back.
Yesterday, my dear friend Inga from Utah and I spent three hours hiking in the sacred red rock landscape of Moab. We shared an earthy lunch by the river before continuing along the trail surrounded by ancient canyon walls, ancestral silence, and the petroglyphs left behind by Native peoples who once walked these lands long before us.
What touched me deeply was returning to a place I visited five years ago and experiencing it through completely different eyes, heart, and life circumstances. The same mountains but a different soul walking among them.
In Classical Feng Shui, mountains represent support, ancestors, wisdom, protection, and the invisible forces that shape our destiny. The river carries movement, emotion, and the flow of life itself. Walking between stone and water felt like walking between memory and renewal.
For 23 years this beautiful friendship has moved through seasons of joy, motherhood, health challenges, financial shifts, relationships, growth, and transformation. Yesterday nature became our temple — a place where conversations turned into healing, where honesty became grounding, and where laughter and tears dissolved into the desert wind.
There is something deeply spiritual about being witnessed by the Earth itself. The red rocks of Moab hold ancient presence. You can feel it in the silence, in the textures of stone, in the openness of the sky. A reminder that life continually asks us to release, trust, and begin again.
Sometimes healing is not found in doing more.
Sometimes it is found in walking slowly beside someone who truly knows your soul.
Moab, thank you for the grounding, freedom, ancestral energy, and quiet divine guidance toward a new day and a new beginning.
