10 VoiceBiota Bites. One much bigger story.

Today we are sharing nine early observations from the VoiceBiota Dataset, spanning respiratory, neurological, cardiovascular, metabolic and other health signals.

Behind them are 1,800,637 recordings, 35 studies and 16 health conditions, making VoiceBiota the largest voice biomarker dataset ever assembled.

We built it because we believe voice can become a new layer of health data: accessible, non-invasive and scalable. The goal is not simply to collect recordings, but to create the infrastructure to discover, validate and translate voice biomarkers into real healthcare applications.

These Bites are early observations. Some signals are already strong; others need more validation. As the dataset continues to grow, we expect new patterns and increasingly interesting questions to emerge.

From Validation Studio and API Hub, to BIOTA 1 and our ongoing work on REZPIO, we are building the pathway from research to real-world healthcare in order to make sure that HealthCare has a voice.

So, what are we actually building?

A few years ago, the idea was simple: what if the human voice could tell us something meaningful about health?

Since then, VoiceBiota has grown into something much bigger.

We’ve built a large real-world voice dataset, developed our own technology around voice and respiratory signals, and are now building the infrastructure to validate, integrate and turn those signals into useful health insights.

That’s what sits behind VoiceBiota, Validation Studio, API Hub, Biota 1 and rezpio.

🫁 rezpio is our focus on respiratory health, particularly COPD and asthma.

🌿 Biota 1 takes our technology into everyday wellness.

🧪 Validation Studio and API Hub are being developed to make it easier for researchers, developers and partners to test, validate and build with voice data.

And VoiceBiota is the foundation underneath it all: data, science, validation and technology.

We’re still early in the journey, but the direction is clear.

We believe the voice is one of the most accessible signals we have. The challenge is turning that signal into something reliable, meaningful and genuinely useful.

That’s what we’re working on.

VoiceBiota is entering a new chapter.

Since our inception as a project, We've quietly built something we believe is foundational: a dataset of over 1.8 million voice recordings pooled from 35 studies, 52+ validated biomarkers, and three filed patents, all developed under ISO 13485 certification. That foundation is now powering three products in parallel: Biota1, our wellness wearable, already shipped and sold out its first batch. Validation Studio and API Hub, our platform for researchers and partners building on top of our data. And Rezpio, our Class IIa medical device pipeline for COPD and asthma, being developed alongside our top institutional partners.

Now we're expanding. This September, we're growing our office in Malta and welcoming new members to the team. New skills, new energy, and some genuinely exciting projects on the horizon that we can't wait to share.
The voice carries more signal than most people realize. We're building the infrastructure to finally listen to it, at scale, and we're just getting started.

The numbers speak for themselves. VoiceBiota is now home to the largest organic voice biomarker dataset around, and it’s the foundation for everything we’re building next. VoiceBiota is the voice biomarker data layer turning everyday speech into physiological signal, and this July we achieved ISO 13485:2016 certification, regulatory rigor behind the science.

Biota1, our wellness wearable, is already reaching early users, listening passively with no audio ever leaving the device, and Rezpio, our respiratory monitoring system for COPD and asthma, is currently in the pipeline for CE medical certification.
