Leadership doesn't have to be a bottomless pit of worries, solitude, and arguments. It should be a transformed emotion:

🧱 from being stuck against a brick wall of expectations, deadlines, and projects

🤝 to leading a community with purpose, vision, and drive toward a common goal

❓ So why should you grow your skills with leadership training? ❓

Leadership training will help you build further ❸ very important domains that impact the workplace culture.

Starting with:

❶ Resilience in the face of crisis

Leaders lacking this sustainable behaviour can lead to ever-growing stress, imprecise judgments, and even failure.

Leadership training helps build resilience and behaviour to advance the work of both leaders and teams.

⭐️ Saving the whole team in tough situations, but also helping it to heal.

❷ Psychological safety

When a team member, colleague, or employee knows that they have a right to a:

🗣 voice
✔ decision
🚥 mistake...
..they'd feel more confident and calm about their workplace.

Training sessions can help you build a bridge between yourself and your team.

⭐️ This long-term process of trust is based on listening, inclusivity in decision-making, and avoiding toxic behaviour.

For a strong and stable foundation in the organisation's culture.

❸ Emotionally intelligence & Emotional regulation

Leaders should know how to recognise and regulate their own emotions. Despite the challenge, this may present, at times.

Investing in your emotional EQ will take time, but it's definitely worth it.

As it will help you look through the looking glass - that is your team's perspective - to:

🔵 better understand the emotions of the individuals
🔵 build natural empathy by listening and showing interest
🔵 learn how to be of better help

⭐️ Sometimes a shout-out from an outside observer, whom you trust, can be the only way to understand your emotions and reactions.

Do you know what the best thing about leadership training is?

It helps you develop not only these three qualities, but so much more.

🪐 For a safer, more productive, and vision-oriented workplace. 🪐

The Power of Consistency and Small Changes 🚀

Ever feel like big goals seem a bit... overwhelming? 🙋‍♂️ The secret isn't in massive overhauls but in the small, consistent changes we make every day.

Think of it like compounding interest – tiny actions add up over time. Want to improve your fitness? Start with a 10-minute walk each day. Trying to read more? A couple of pages before bed goes a long way. 🎯

It's easy to underestimate the power of small, but being consistent is what transforms habits into achievements. Remember, progress is progress, no matter how small the step. 💪

☕️ Happy International Coffee Day... from a coffee snob!

For me, coffee is more than just a drink – it’s a ritual that helps me ground myself and start the day. 🧘

I can go without coffee for days, but when I have one, it needs to be special!

It’s not just the beans that make the coffee special, but the added value it brings to my day.

Here are a few lessons I’ve learned from my coffee habit over the years:

1️⃣ Coffee chats – The best conversations happen over a cup of coffee. It’s a simple way to build stronger connections and get to know my team.

2️⃣ Boost creativity – A quick coffee break can do wonders. Stepping away for a few minutes often gives me fresh ideas and new perspectives.

3️⃣ Take a mindful sip – Those sips of coffee are a mini-reset. It’s a chance for me to pause, breathe, and return to my senses.

So, let’s take a moment today to enjoy that cup of coffee, connect, and re-energise! ☕️

Leaders, meet your new BFF in moving the compass ahead, to follow your North star. 🧭⭐️

You have to be able to deliver and receive FEEDBACK. 🚚 📩

(Yes, I've said it - the cliché everyone is constantly on about).

Because the truth is that when you truly listen to each individual’s feedback, you build bridges of trust and understanding.

💬 Thus, facilitating more open communication.

By inviting feedback into the conversation...

…you are ultimately creating a safe space for constructive criticism, dialogue, and exchange.

Empowering others to voice their thoughts and ideas. Without holding back.

You'll probably think when is the best time for feedback❓️

It should always be on time. ⌚️

Giving and receiving feedback is an ongoing journey of development, collaboration, and (above all) — mutual respect.

And this skill can be built up, over time. I've seen how my one-on-one coaching sessions have helped leaders learn:

From their mistakes and move forward; 📖

How to accept constructive criticism; 🤝

To give feedback at the right time; ⏰

To praise and celebrate individual achievements. 🥇

Ready to embrace the power of feedback in your leadership?Ready to train your team’s feedback-giving muscle - let’s meet!

One thing is keeping you up at night, after a full day of managing and leading (by example). 😳🌃

How can you connect better with every one of your team members?

🚫🤫 It's no secret that you have much more in common than you think.

In episode 6️⃣ of "The Lunch Break Coach" podcast, Vicki Haddock and I continued discussing the essence of the human spirit.

And we agreed on the perfect formula for leaders to:

build more lasting relationships 🪜

grow and nurture their teams 🌱

increase efficiency and, at the same time, the overall team happiness. 🤩

Leaders, you ought to learn to connect with each individual on a human-to-human level.

That often means letting go of all the judgment and bias you may have about:

how individuals look and talk 🪞

their cultural background 🌍

the way they were raised. 🏠

This is all mental and emotional baggage.

Guess what - it comes with plenty of beliefs that are no longer relevant.

Leave it all behind! ✋

The most common thing between you and the person, that's standing across from you, is this:

You're both human.

You both want and need the same things.

Happiness. Love. Peace.

Sometimes, having a human-to-human conversation may be enough to understand their perspective.

Listen on to our full conversation with Vicki to find out more about:

why it's important to think and act outside the box 📦

learn to live and thrive with the "monsters" inside your head 🧌

how John Maxwell's "Law of the Lid" defines leadership 🥘

Vicki's latest book, "Confidence Unchained!: The 5 Keys for Releasing Self-Doubt and Living Confidently" 📖

🍬 A bitter-sweet feeling to find out that 1️⃣ truth about leadership, which is this:

regular reviews or a "pat on the back" aren't enough to ensure your team thrives. 🤚📃👎

You need an extra tool. Perhaps, a contraption.

To sustain your team's efficiency and growth.

Leaders, meet your new BFF in moving the compass ahead, to follow your North star. 🧭⭐️

You have to be able to deliver and receive FEEDBACK. 🚚 📩

(Yes, I've said it - the cliché everyone is constantly on about).

When used properly, feedback can:

become impactful in encouraging your team to reach their potential; 🧗‍♂️

shine a light on blind spots (you know, the ones you might avoid, even on purpose); 👀

help you grow more self-awareness and become more mindful as a leader. 🌱

Did I mention that feedback can improve your team's dynamics?! 🚀

When you truly listen to each individual’s feedback, you build bridges of trust and understanding.

💬 Thus, facilitating more open communication.

By inviting feedback into the conversation...

…you are ultimately creating a safe space for constructive criticism, dialogue, and exchange.

🤯 Do you constantly worry about the future, unable to fully enjoy the present?

You’re not alone.

This worry is often provoked by fears about what lies ahead - preventing your ability to focus on the here and now.

While long-term goals and dreams can help you stay motivated…
.. dwelling too much on the future can have a negative effect on your well-being. 🔮🙅‍♂️

Today, I’ll help you break free from the grip of worry by following these 5️⃣ simple steps:

1️⃣ Start living in the NOW

Despite life’s demands, make a conscious effort to be present.

Strive to find a moment of peace in the great chaos at work or in your personal life. 🙋‍♂️

2️⃣ Reconnect with your purpose

Remember WHY you do what you do.

Your work is more than merely a tool for survival - it should provide you with a sense of fulfilment and meaning. 🤩

3️⃣ Express your worries

Don’t let any concerns take over your mind for too long.

🗣 Talk or write about your worries to gain clarity and perspective.

4️⃣ Focus on solutions

Shift your mindset from thinking about the problems to seeking solutions. 🤝

Train yourself to approach challenges with patience and learn to accept them for what they are.

5️⃣ Calm your mind

Rather than making a bunch of possible scenarios (that most likely won’t happen), quiet all the noise in your head, for a second.

This will help you to reduce any confusion, calm your emotions, and (above all) see things from a different perspective. 👀

I've previously worked with individuals who have struggled to break free from worry about the future.

Through my coaching programme, I've helped them:

give their overthinking mind a rest 🧠

consider new ways of seeing the future 🔎

take meaningful steps towards living in the here and now🚶‍♂️

Ready to reclaim your present and shape your future?

What happened to HR in the past three (or four) years? Well…
.. they've been dealing with a loooot of pressure and stress. 🤯

Jane Piper and I discuss the impact global events have had on the HR professional on the latest episode of "The Lunch Break Coach Podcast". 🌎 🎙

💻 🏡 During the COVID-19 pandemic, we saw HR and IT coming together to figure out what the new business normal should look like.

With the global lockdown, working from home became a necessity.

And while IT exited after setting up the technologies…

HR professionals continued to figure out the practicalities.

Like supporting employees' mental well-being and ensuring workplace efficiency.

✉️ 💼 Next, came the challenges of the Great resignation and the post-pandemic normal.

HRs had to devise strategies to encourage teams to come back to the office.

At the same time, more and more professionals started to walk out to pursue their passions.

There was an evident gap that could only be bridged with new talent (which also needed to be retained).

These new priorities appeared, on top of very likely day-to-day HR tasks like:

business continuity 🕴

dealing with a toxic culture ⚠️

constant disruptions 🛑

❤️ In the last year, hiring managers' priority has become their employees' safety.

With the political conflicts that have been going on, many professionals, who have families back home, have been impacted.

HR are the people who have been taking care of everyone.

Let me ask you this, then who's taking care of the HR people?

Find out the answer to this question and much more in our upcoming episode of "The Lunch Break Coach Podcast". Coming 🔜

Trust defines the heartbeat of any workplace! 💗

⚙️ Just like the finely tuned gears of a well-oiled machine, trust must flow seamlessly:

From leader to team. 🔄

From team to leader. 🔄

Amongst team members. 🔄

But, as hybrid work blurs traditional boundaries...
..building and maintaining rapport has become more difficult than ever before.

Picture this:

Individual team members, working from all over the globe. 🌎

Their focal point?

🔆 The vision of the person in a leadership position.

Yet, everyone doubts the leader.

Each day turns into a countdown to finish the job. ⏱

The end results?

Zero work rhythm. Lost motivation. Arguments and drama.

Once the trust is lost, it will be difficult to flip the toxic culture into a positive one.

Yet, no hope should be lost.

My team facilitation programme is for teams who want to build back up their trust. 🪜

Working together, I first take the time to assess your team’s psychological safety.

Ultimately, I'll help you:

reconnect with each other 🤝

build trust amongst team members 🧗‍♂️

heal to create a safer space for everyone 🩹

In the image below, check out how you could develop the 3️⃣ ways of trust for your team.

📈 Aren't the upward and downward spikes in your team's motivation, at times, frustrating? 📉

How can you, as a leader, ensure everyone stays equally productive and inspired, all the time?

Sometimes, the seemingly hardest dilemmas require simple solutions.

🎙 In the latest episode of “The Lunch Break Coach” podcast, Reny Mihaylova and I delved into how to drive team inspiration. 🚀

Answering Reny's question on motivation, I had her imagine the following scenario:

🪄 What if she had a magic wand and unlimited possibilities to inspire her team? What would Reny do first?

She proposed plenty of contraptions, but they all had one thing in common.

✨️ The personal approach — tailoring her approach to the individual's unique needs. ✨️

When you talk to your team with honesty and authenticity — you can often impact their work.

But, sometimes, external factors can influence individuals, even with a leader’s best efforts.

How can they help their teams out of the downward spike of motivation?

Would their teams require:

constant one-on-ones and team building, despite having a limited time resource ⌛️

special communication, during their lowest moments, even when deadlines are approaching 💬

a "magical" office where they're always inspired, despite everyone having different muses 🪄

There is something simpler leaders, like Reny, can do.
