📺 ROAD SAFETY PLEDGE | OUR MESSAGE IS REACHING MAURITIUS 🇲🇺

We are pleased to share the recent coverage by the Mauritius Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) on the ADPS Responsible Driver Pledge Campaign — reaching Mauritians in Creole, French and Hindi.

We sincerely thank the MBC for giving visibility to this important road-safety initiative and helping us take the message across our diverse Mauritian community.

The ADPS Road Safety Pledge is a simple but powerful personal commitment: to be a responsible driver, for our families, for others and for Mauritius.

Every journey begins with a decision. To slow down. To put the phone away. To never drive under the influence. To respect every road user. And, above all, to remember that someone is waiting for us to come home.

The campaign is built around one simple message:

❤️ Drive like your family is in the other car.

🇲🇺 Now, we invite YOU to join the movement.

✍️ Sign the ADPS Responsible Driver Pledge and make your commitment to responsible driving visible.

👉 Sign the Pledge — https://www.adps.mu/pledge.html

One pledge. One safer decision. One life potentially saved.

🤝 Together, let’s make Mauritius roads safer.

ADPS is conducting the Responsible Driver Pledge campaign across the island. Companies and organizations can reach out to us to book a session and join the community of responsible drivers.

HOW MANY MORE LAWS WILL IT TAKE BEFORE WE CHANGE THE WAY WE DRIVE?

Every year, Mauritius’s ministry of transport introduces new laws and penalties to reduce road accidents. Yet families are still losing loved ones on our roads, and the numbers remain deeply concerning.

At ADPS (AFRICA DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM SERVICES) we believe enforcement and awareness are essential, but lasting change also requires changing driver behaviour and personal accountability. That is why we created the ADPS Responsible Driver Pledge.

We have reached out to the relevant authorities several times, including letters and visits to the Ministry. Progress has been slow, but people are still dying on the roads while we wait. Mauritius has developed the culture of only acting after something tragic has happened, let’s not wait for that because that could be your family, teacher, colleague, etc. It’s also essential to reinforce pedestrian road safety awareness.

We call on individuals, companies, fleets, driving schools, public transport operators, schools, residents and visitors to make a personal commitment to safer roads.

Drive like your family is in the other car.

It was a pleasure and an honour for ADPS to be part of this high-level panel on Tourism, the Blue Economy and Regional Attractiveness at the Moris-Mada Business Connect Summit 2026.

Ms. Diksha Ramdawa contributed to discussions on tourism investment, the sustainable valorisation of marine resources, and the potential for stronger cooperation between Mauritius, Madagascar and the wider Indian Ocean region.

The discussions highlighted the many complementarities between our two islands and the opportunities to transform these into concrete partnerships that drive sustainable economic growth, investment and regional development.

🇲🇬🤝🇲🇺 Two islands. One vision. A shared future.
