Polina Belyaeva is a CIMA-qualified professional with 13 years of experience in Mauritius across Big Four advisory and the Global Business sector. After completing a CleanTech certificate at New York Universityโ€™s School of Professional Studies, she founded Belyaeva House in 2024, a consultancy focused on sustainability and business operations. Belyaeva House helps finance-focused businesses look beyond financial margins and is currently participating in Turbineโ€™s pre-incubation programme. Polina is also one of the first B Corp Consultants in Mauritius, trained by B Lab to guide companies through B Corp certification, and the Mauritius partner of French climate software company Greenly.

The Economic Development Board (EDB), host agency of the ITC SheTrades Mauritius Hub, organised a workshop on โ€œNew Budgetary Measures & Financial Solutions for Women-Led Businessesโ€ on 8 October 2026 at the EDB Head Office in Ebene.

The workshop brought together women entrepreneurs and representatives from key public institutions to provide practical information on the budgetary measures, tax provisions, customs-related measures and financial support mechanisms available to businesses, with a particular focus on women-led enterprises.

The Economic Development Board (EDB), host agency of the SheTrades Mauritius Hub, in collaboration with the Indian Business Council (IBC), successfully concluded the SheInvests: Financial Literacy Series for Women Entrepreneurs, with a certificate award ceremony held on 30 September 2026 at the EDB Auditorium in Ebene, where 30 women entrepreneurs received certificates of participation.

The Award of Certificates event marked the completion of a four-month capacity-building programme, comprising five financial literacy sessions delivered from April to August 2026 which engaged a total of 86 women entrepreneurs. The sessions were delivered by experienced resource persons from the Indian Business Council, who shared their expertise, practical insights and industry experience to strengthen participantsโ€™ financial capabilities and help them apply sound financial practices to their businesses.

This initiative aimed to equip women entrepreneurs with practical knowledge and tools to make informed business decisions, manage financial risks, plan effectively and build more resilient and sustainable enterprises.

A Mauritius-headquartered leadership development and human-capital firm and a member of the SheTrades Mauritius Hub, Talent Lab International officially launched its Rwandan operations on 11 September 2026 at the Kigali Marriott Hotel, following its participation in the Hub-to-Hub Export Promotion Mission to Kigali in May 2026.

The mission organised in May 2026 by the Economic Development Board (EDB), host institution of the SheTrades Mauritius Hub; the Private Sector Federation (PSF) specialised cluster, host institution of the SheTrades Rwanda Hub; and the Rwanda Development Board (RDB) was designed to create direct connections between women-led businesses from Mauritius and their Rwandan counterparts, while opening pathways for commercial partnerships and access to the Rwandan market.

Mrs Prishni Ghoorbin of S.M. Lights Ltd, a member of the SheTrades Mauritius Hub, participated in the Reverse Buyer Seller Meet (RBSM) held in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India, from 16 to 21 August 2026.

Organised by the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) in collaboration with the Government of Andhra Pradesh, the RBSM brought together international buyers and Indian businesses through B2B meetings, creating a space for participants to discover new products, meet potential suppliers and explore possible business partnerships.
