A MESSAGE TO THE YOUTH OF MALAWI π²πΌπ₯
My fellow young people, I want us to think deeply about something.
We are the future of Malawi but our future will depend on what we do with the opportunities we have today.
When we finally make money, let us not spend everything on alcohol, unnecessary parties, showing off, expensive lifestyles, or things that give us happiness for only one night.
Money should not only make us look rich. Money should help us become financially stronger.
If you make MWK 100,000 today, ask yourself:
βHow can I use this money to create another MWK 100,000 tomorrow?β
That is the mindset we need.
1. STOP SPENDING EVERYTHING YOU EARN π°
Enjoy life, yes but learn the difference between enjoying your money and destroying your future with your money.
Create a simple rule:
Earn β Save β Invest β Reinvest β Enjoy responsibly.
Even if your income is small, start with what you have.
2. START SMALL BUSINESSES πͺ
You don't need millions to start.
Look around your community and ask:
βWhat do people need every day?β
Food, farming products, clothes, phone accessories, transportation, cleaning services, barbering, beauty services, construction services, digital services, poultry, livestock, vegetables, small shops and many other businesses can create income.
Start small. Learn. Improve. Grow.
3. INVEST IN SKILLS π§
A young person with skills has more opportunities.
Learn something that people are willing to pay for:
Digital marketing
Graphic design
Video editing
Photography
Programming
Welding
Carpentry
Driving
Agriculture
Tailoring
Hairdressing/barbering
Mechanics
Construction
Business management
English and communication
Your skill can become your business.
4. DON'T DEPEND ON ONE SOURCE OF INCOME
If your only plan is one salary, you are vulnerable.
Think about building multiple income streams over time.
Job + Small Business + Farming + Investments + Skills
You don't have to build everything at once.
Start with one
