Last week, I got one of those urgent calls from a best friend.
She started with:
"π° ππππ ππππ ππ ππππ ππππππβ¦ πππ
π° ππππ πππ π
ππβπ ππππ ππππ-ππππππ ππππππβ¦ π©πΌπ» π° ππππ π ππππ πππππππ πππππππ. π·π³π¬π¨πΊπ¬. π»ππ ππππ ππππππ πππ πππ π
π ππππ ππππ ππ πππ."
She went on to tell me about her friend β a brilliant woman (her words, not mine) β who had been in Canada for years, with a PhD, two Masterβs degrees, and a prestigious Bachelorβs. Yet despite applying to countless jobs, she had been met with rejection after rejection.
Her latest interview was scheduled for Monday (yesterday), and she wanted to do something different this time. The only time I had was Sunday evening. We agreed.
She sent me her CV and the job description. When I finally spoke with her, I couldnβt help but say:
"If I had even a quarter of your qualifications, maybe Iβd be ruling an island somewhere!" πππ
But hereβs the truth β brilliance alone doesnβt always land the job. In our 2-hour session, I didnβt overload her with technical prep. Instead, we focused on:
β¨ Mindset shifts β walking in with clarity, not desperation
β¨ Confidence building β showing up like the role was already hers
β¨ Value rediscovery β knowing her worth and communicating it
Yesterday, she called me with the BEST news β she got the job. π
Sometimes, all you need is to know:
The right phrases that position you as the solution
How to own the room without overtaking the conversation
How to market yourself so the panel sees your value instantly
Coincidentally I have been creating the Interview Mastery Course, dropping October 1st.
But before that, Iβm kicking things off with a 5-Day Interview Prep Challenge starting September 1st, 2025 β a small investment to transform how you show up in interviews.
π Iβm opening the waiting list now.
π Iβll also be sharing a free resource soon to get you started.
If youβve got an interview coming up β or youβre tired of hearing βWe went with another candidateβ β this is for you.
