The COVID-19 lockdowns left Chancy Chirwa stranded in Malawi. Instead of panicking, he saw an opportunity in a growing waste problem. Driven by his passion for the environment, he founded Vegan Africa waste solutions, transforming Mzuzu’s landfill into a sustainable business. Today, they convert waste into organic fertilizer and eco-bricks, creating jobs and sustainable income.

We are so Grateful that our First pilot of managing a landfill towards Zero Waste and Regeneration of resources its being successful in Lilongwe city where by we are producing organic compost fertilizer from Municipal waste, encouraging plastic Re-use by recycling and managing carton wasteon which we are making our landfill very clean and effective.
