Dry January is two days away. Are you joining? (Hint: maybe you should.)
🧨 Five truths most people don’t want to hear about alcohol:
• Disrupts your sleep (yeah, really. Stop telling yourself it helps you sleep better.)
• Shrinks your brain over time (and makes you dumb very often.)
• Worsens anxiety and emotional reactivity (booze = gasoline for your anxiety.)
• Increases risk of cancer and disease (this year alone the FDA validated that.)
• Makes moderation harder than you think (you are more hooked than you think.)
✨ And here’s what happens when you stop (even for one month):
• Sleep gets deeper and more restful (it gets worse before it gets better. But it will get better, I promise.)
• Cravings drop as your brain rebalances (your body re-learns to produce its own happy juices = neuro-chemicals)
• Cortisol and stress hormones lower (anxiety lessens when you stop poisoning yourself, eureka.)
