I got sober in 2009.

And then… I drank again in 2015.

Not because I didn’t know better.
But because I hadn’t gone deep enough yet.

It took me two full years to begin again — not restart, begin.
And here’s what I learned 👇

This isn’t about not drinking.

It’s about getting curious in a way most of us never have.
About who you are underneath the coping.
Under the habits.
Under the noise.
It’s about staying…
instead of running.
Listening…
instead of numbing.

Asking yourself not
“how do I stop?”
but
“who can I be when I stop?”

If you’re here feeling tired, curious, or quietly ready —you’re not behind.

Dry January is two days away. Are you joining? (Hint: maybe you should.)

🧨 Five truths most people don’t want to hear about alcohol:

• Disrupts your sleep (yeah, really. Stop telling yourself it helps you sleep better.)
• Shrinks your brain over time (and makes you dumb very often.)
• Worsens anxiety and emotional reactivity (booze = gasoline for your anxiety.)
• Increases risk of cancer and disease (this year alone the FDA validated that.)
• Makes moderation harder than you think (you are more hooked than you think.)

✨ And here’s what happens when you stop (even for one month):

• Sleep gets deeper and more restful (it gets worse before it gets better. But it will get better, I promise.)
• Cravings drop as your brain rebalances (your body re-learns to produce its own happy juices = neuro-chemicals)
• Cortisol and stress hormones lower (anxiety lessens when you stop poisoning yourself, eureka.)
• Energy, mood, and skin all improve (sober IS beautiful.)
• Liver starts healing itself (ah, the miracles our bodies are...)
• Inflammation goes down (disease takes a backwards step.)
• You think clearer and feel more stable (you start kicking ass at work.)
• You stop abandoning yourself on autopilot (this one is the best one!)

Dry January isn’t about being perfect.

It’s about giving yourself the proof that change is possible — and actually feels fckn good.
