Seafront Residence - SC.030

A serene seafront living space defined by soft geometry, natural textures, and quiet luxury. Floor-to-ceiling glazing frames the landscape as part of the composition, while refined furnishings and diffused lighting create an atmosphere of calm, contemporary elegance.

Defined volumes and clean geometries shape the facade. Subtle lighting highlights the architectural rhythm, while the desert landscape integrates the building into its context. The result is a balance of functionality and presence that enhances the patient and visitor experience.

The project scope included the expansion of the waiting area and outpatient consultation rooms, the creation of a new facade, and associated site works such as walkways, parking areas, and landscaping. The labor and delivery area, including obstetric surgery rooms, was reconfigured to comply with updated healthcare regulations, while additional interior spaces were adapted to optimize clinical workflows.

Nestled within the captivating Sonoran Desert, this residence fulfills a couple's lifelong dream of a retreat. The topographical singularities of the site, including elevation variations and natural drainage, were met with ingenuity, resulting in an understated yet harmonious architectural design that frames breathtaking views.

An imposing 5-meter door ushers visitors into the spacious 4-meter high interior space, where privacy seamlessly coexists with communal areas, anchored by a central lounge.

The infinity pool and whirlpool bath, visible from multiple vantage points, ingeniously ensure panoramic views without compromising privacy, all set within a landscape that inspired tiered recreational areas. A covered terrace seamlessly connects indoor and outdoor spaces, while a submerged fire pit complements the pool's overflow, creating serene evenings by the fire. The expansive backyard invites outdoor activities, and a guest house, accessed via the central courtyard, offers private accommodation for relatives.

Materials such as travertine, wood, and steel were thoughtfully chosen to complement the natural surroundings, while native vegetation, strategically placed stones, and well-planned lighting enhance the project's aesthetic.

This spacious residence, situated in Hermosillo, Sonora, artfully combines rectilinear forms with carefully selected materials, resulting in an architectural piece that pays homage to both design and nature. Its seamless integration with the Sonoran Desert encapsulates the dreams of its owners, embodying unity and serenity.

Kava bagels & coffee | Elias Braun Architecture

This cafeteria project is nestled within the interior of an antique residence in downtown Hermosillo, Sonora. For this project, the construction constraints of the site and the specific needs of the client were carefully addressed. The simple palette of materials and colors blends seamlessly with the existing flooring of the house. Furniture with steel frames and natural wood plank shelves, coupled with matte black cabinetry, harmoniously complement the brown tones of the existing tiles, creating a warm and welcoming ambiance. This invites consumers to take a brief visual tour of the space and appreciate the small decorative details. Meanwhile, the exquisitely prepared steaming coffee creates an atmosphere of pause and generates a state of expectant calm to complete the experience.
