A few weeks ago, I spent the day showing our team exactly how we do what we do. A behind the scenes of the behind-the-scenes.

We called it the MACH9 Method Day. One rule: no theory. We went through the real system, how we monitor, predict, and activate, using our actual work, real cases, and our global mindset.

Somewhere during the cases, I noticed something that made me proud of all of us: the team stopped taking notes and started leaning into the conversation.

Then we stayed, turned on a World Cup game, and simply enjoyed being a team.

The strategy is what the world sees. But the people in this room are the reason it works.

Our method finds the ideas and the way forward. The team gives them meaning across markets.

Walked into in LA and got an amazing branding experience.

Three products. Three completely different ways to make you reach for something you didn’t come in for.

Freeze-dried fruit, turned into wonder. An astronaut floating through a field of strawberries. The snack didn’t change, the imagination around it did.

Bison jerky that sells a mission, not meat. “Regenerating the prairie by bringing back the bison.” You’re not buying protein. You’re buying into a cause.

Sunflower seeds, the most commodity snack on earth placing themselves like a craft brand with 50 years of heritage. Confidence is a strategy.

None of these are the biggest names on the shelf. They just understood the thing many forget: people don’t buy products, we buy transformation, what it means to pick it up.

Erewhon doesn’t stock products. It stocks meaning. These three earned their shelf.

The best branding lessons aren’t in case studies. They’re sitting on shelves, waiting for someone to notice. 👀

300 people slept outside a Swatch store in Tokyo last night.

Dubai Mall at 3am. Riot police in Barcelona. Mumbai didn’t even open the doors.

All for a $400 watch.

The Audemars Piguet x Swatch Royal Pop dropped yesterday, and the world split in two.

People who’ve never owned a mechanical watch queuing overnight to touch a brand that normally costs $50,000 to enter.

And collectors who spent hundreds of thousands on AP, publicly threatening to sell everything.

Same product. Completely opposite meanings.

That’s what happens when a brand moves from ownership into cultural participation.

The product is never the hard part.

Meaning is what you can’t control once the doors open.
