FSD expands production capacity

KUALA SELANGOR – Producing 200,000 alloy ingots per month, FSD Industry Sdn. Bhd. (FSD Industry) aims to continue increasing the production of this material for various industrial uses.

Its director, Datuk Nor Adnan Zainal Abidin, said the material has high demand from the automotive, telecommunications, and construction sectors both domestically and internationally.

“Until now, FSD Industry has exported all alloy ingots produced to several companies in China, but it still does not meet their needs. Therefore, we are opening a new factory here to increase production capacity,” he said during the official opening of FSD Industry’s new factory in Puncak Alam.

The ceremony was officiated by Health Minister and Member of Parliament for Kuala Selangor, Datuk Seri Dr. Dzulkefly Ahmad.

Nor Adnan explained that the company previously produced the material at a factory in Segamat, Johor, and has invested around RM3 million in this new factory, which includes the purchase of five machines to process alloy ingots.

“We aim to recoup the invested funds within two years. Besides producing alloy ingots, FSD Industry is now venturing into the production of household appliance components for the local market. We will also make efforts to obtain ISO certification from SIRIM in the near future,” he said.
