什么是白内障?
白内障会随着年龄的增长自然发生，是一种常见 的眼科疾病。
当我们眼睛内的晶状体随着年龄的增长呈混浊的“云雾”状或不透明，白内障就会发生，类似于一片旧玻璃变得混浊。
随着时间的推移，白内障会逐渐恶化，使您的视力更加模糊。
什么原因造成白内障?
• 年龄
• 糖尿病
• 创伤(影响眼睛或头部)
• 药物(如:类固醇)
• 眼睛手术后的并发症
• 其他原因:紫外线照射,吸烟以及维生素营 养不良/缺乏维生素
白内脏的迹象和症状
1. 视线呈“云雾”状，模糊或有薄膜。
2. 浑浊的外观/眼目失去鲜明度。
3. 夜间驾驶困难。
4. 眩光（来自灯光或太阳）。
5. 眼镜度数频繁有变化。
6. 单眼看见重叠的影像。
7. 暂时性更好的近距离视力。
Cataract refers to an opacity or loss of transparency of the lens inside the eye. The eye functions like a camera - the lens of the eye is like the lens of a camera - to focus light on the retina of the eye (like the film on the camera) so that we see clear images. When the lens becomes cloudy (i.e cataract developing), the images that we see become gradually more blurred.
1. The most common cause of cataracts is the natural aging and degeneration process of the lens. Almost 95% of the people aged 70 years and above will have some degree of cataract.
2. Other causes of cataract are trauma, diabetes mellitus, prolonged use of steroids, longterm exposure of ultraviolet light (sunlight) and eye inflammation.
3. Rarely, babies are born with cataracts or may develop cataract in childhood. Causes of cataracts at these young ages include inheritance (genetic), metabolic disorders such as galactosaemia, or maternal infection during pregnancy affecting the fetus (eg. Rubella)
Symptoms of Cataracts
1. Blurred vision
2. Glare
3. Rapid increase in myopia (shortsightedness)
4. Double vision
5. Acute pain and redness of the eye
