The Indian High Commission in Kuala Lumpur, through the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Indian Cultural Centre (NSCBICC), plays an active role in promoting and preserving Indian languages such as Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Punjabi, and Bengali in Malaysia. One of its key initiatives is the "Confluence: Samagam – Language Series," a lecture series that highlights the rich linguistic heritage of these languages. In collaboration with community associations, the Centre also supports various cultural programs that include talks on linguistic history, opportunities for language learning, and celebrations of cultural identity. These efforts aim to foster stronger ties between the Indian diaspora and cultural organizations, ensuring the continued vitality of these languages in Malaysia. The event proved to be both insightful and engaging, offering valuable perspectives on the role of language in cultural preservation.
