🇲🇾 New Article | What Can Service Design Bring to Food Safety?

Why doesn’t people’s behavior change, even when they are given the right information?
We recently had the opportunity to welcome Wanie from Malaysia’s Ministry of Health, who joined FOURDIGIT Malaysia and our headquarters in Japan as part of a practical training program.
In a conversation with FOURDIGIT COO Takehiro Suenari, Wanie explored the challenges faced in the field of food safety through the lens of behavior change and service design.
How can we move from making people feel they “have to” follow rules to creating experiences that make them “want to” act?
They also discussed why, in the age of AI, it is more important than ever to start not with “What can technology do?” but with “Whose problem are we trying to solve, and what is that problem?”
Food safety and design may seem like very different fields, but both begin with understanding people.

【 🇹🇭 SYNC Design & Innovation in SITE 2026 successfully held in Bangkok! ✨ 】

On Friday, June 26th, "SYNC Design & Innovation in SITE 2026"—co-hosted by Nikkei BP and the National Innovation Agency of Thailand (NIA)—came to a successful close in Bangkok!
This special program was held as part of "SITE," one of Southeast Asia's largest startup events. Centered around the theme of "Integrating Design and Business"—an absolute essential for tomorrow's global market—the event served as a powerful platform to share cutting-edge insights on how design can drive problem-solving and create entirely new value.
With programs unfolding across four different areas, the event gathered an incredible lineup of VIP guests, including leading Japanese creators and executives like Manabu Mizuno, Eisuke Tachikawa, and Eriko Yamaguchi, Thai government officials, and even Kumamon, who completely thrilled the audience! From FOURDIGIT, Taguchi and Suenari took the stage to lead passionate discussions on AI, finance, education, and the future of business management and design.
It was an incredibly high-energy, fruitful event where attendees could truly feel the innovation and potential that design brings to Asia. Through this event, FOURDIGIT firmly demonstrated its unique approach to design and the value we deliver to the global market.

[Special Dialogue] Shaping Malaysia’s Digital Future: PayNet × FOURDIGIT

To ensure the benefits of the digital economy reach every Malaysian—we are pleased to share a dialogue between Azleena Idris, Senior Director at PayNet, the heart of Malaysia’s payment infrastructure, and Takehiro Suenari, COO of FOURDIGIT.

【Event Report】NIKKEI FORUM Presentation in Malaysia 🇲🇾
On June 18th and 19th, Suenari from FOURDIGIT took the stage at the "NIKKEI FORUM Medini, Johor 2025" held in Johor, Malaysia!
Under the theme "The New Epicenter of Financial Digitalization," there was a lively discussion with Professor Akie Iriyama from Waseda University, Mr. Nishikawa from NTT Data Payment, Mr. D. Vijaybaskar from Tata Consultancy Services, and Ms. Azleena Idris from PayNet Malaysia.
The event was a great success, with appearances by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, the Chief Minister of Johor, as well as leaders from Japanese companies such as Toyota and AEON, and local companies like Sunway and UEM. The venue was bustling with many visitors, and a variety of sessions were held.
Many people also stopped by the FOURDIGIT booth, giving us a valuable opportunity to introduce our work directly. We will make the most of the excitement and connections we felt in Malaysia in our future activities!
