✨ 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 𝐇𝐚𝐬 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐝 ✨

After months of preparation, we proudly concluded the inaugural International Sustainability Congress (ISC 2025) on 3–4 September at Dewan Utama Desasiswa, Universiti Sains Malaysia, Pulau Pinang.

As a flagship event under the “Love Our Turtles: IKHTIAR Foundation Call-to-Action” campaign, ISC 2025 served as a landmark initiative that brought together policymakers, industry leaders, academics, students, and civil society organisations to spark meaningful dialogue and foster collaboration on advancing sustainability at local, national, and global levels.

Day 1 began with the officiation by YBhg. Dato Seri Dr. Ahmad Jailani Muhamed Yunus, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Azlan Bin Amran, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Industry & Community Network) at USM and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wira Mohd Shafiei, Director of Centre for Global Sustainability Studies (CGSS), followed by high-level forums addressing themes from biodiversity conservation and waste management to marine ecosystem protection.

Day 2 featured sessions on transformational leadership in sustainability, youth and community empowerment, and a special interview on building multisectoral partnerships for the SDGs.

With more than 15 speakers and moderators across both days, ISC 2025 successfully gathered participants from government, business, academia, and NGOs. These discussions not only highlight pressing sustainability issues but also inspired actionable solutions and future collaborations.

We are especially honoured by the presence of speakers and delegates who travelled to Pulau Pinang, and equally grateful to those who continued to support and engage with us from afar. Your commitment and contributions meant the world.
