RVMplus and RoyceCycling MOA 🤝🏼

On the 28th of September 2025, RVMplus and RoyceCycling completed their exchange of MOA at the Sustainability Expo 2025 hosted at Bangkok’s Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre. SX2025 serves as a testing ground for collaborative approaches to global challenges, a fitting place to commemorate the start of our collaboration with RoyceCycling in Thailand 🇹🇭 We’re looking forward to drive towards a Circular Economy together 🌏

SX2025 continues until October 5, with free admission for all visitors interested in exploring how organisations are making progress towards sustainability solutions 🌿

Today, RVMplus had the privilege of attending the ASEAN Smart City Network Forum, where regional leaders, innovators, and stakeholders came together to chart the future of urban living in ASEAN. 🌏

As highlighted in the opening speech, Malaysia’s first Prime Minister Tunku Abdul Rahman once said: “We must stand together. We must grow together, and we must move forward together.” The ASEAN Smart City Action Plan 2026–2035 sets a bold course built on data-driven governance, innovation beyond capital cities, and cross-border collaboration. Thus ensuring that no community is left behind.

At RVMplus, we see our role as part of this vision. By deploying AI-driven Reverse Vending Machines, we help cities:

📊 Generate actionable ESG and recycling data for smarter governance
🤝 Empower communities through inclusive recycling incentives

We were also excited to demonstrate our machines to leaders from across ASEAN, including YBhg. Datuk TPr Dr. Alias bin Rameli (Ketua Pengarah of PLANMalaysia)- reaffirming our commitment to supporting Malaysia and the wider ASEAN region in building smarter, greener, and more inclusive cities. 💡

It was lovely to have the community come together today at Pangsapuri Gotong Royong in conjunction with the month of Merdeka 🇲🇾

We worked together, cleaned the neighbourhood, and recycled all recyclable items at the new RVMplus machine installed in the neighbourhood 🌱♻️

On 16 July 2025, we took a meaningful step forward in strengthening industry-academia collaboration with Universiti Malaya through the signing of an official Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

A heartfelt thank you to Prof. Ir. Dr. Chong Wen Tong (Director, UM Centre of Industry Relations ), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zeeda Fatimah Mohamad (Director, UMSDC .sustainability ), Dr. Nurulaini Abu Shamsi (Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Science), CHM Dr. Archina A/P Buthiyappan (Coordinator, UMZWC .universitimalaya ), and the dedicated team behind this initiative.

OFFICIAL LAUNCH OF THE 2025 MELAKA SMART AND SUSTAINABLE CITY ENGAGEMENT SESSION PROGRAM

April 22, 2025 – The State Secretary of Melaka, YB Dato’ Azhar bin Haji Arshad, attended and officiated the launch of the 2025 Melaka Smart and Sustainable City Engagement Session Program, held at Courtyard by Marriott Hotel, Melaka.

Also present were YB Datuk Zulkiflee bin Datuk Seri Mohd Zin, Deputy Chairman of the Housing, Local Government, Drainage, Climate Change, and Disaster Management Committee; YBhg. Datuk Hj. Shadan bin Hj. Othman, Mayor of the Historic Melaka City Council (MBMB); along with representatives from federal and state departments, agencies, and relevant stakeholders.

During the event, the State Secretary also launched the Bandarayaku application, an initiative by the Historic Melaka City Council (MBMB) under its Smart City framework.

He expressed hope that MBMB and all parties involved will continue to collaborate to fulfill the State Government’s ambition of maintaining Melaka as a sustainable state and transforming it into a Smart State by 2035.
