7 October 2026 - The National Institutes of Biotechnology Malaysia (NIBM) welcomed YBhg. Datoโ€™ Ts. Dr. Nagulendran Kangayatkarasu, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), for a working visit to NIBM to review the progress of NIBMโ€™s strategic development projects.

The visit focused on two key projects supporting NIBMโ€™s efforts to strengthen Malaysiaโ€™s biotechnology capabilities, namely MyGENOM Phase 2 and Projek Perolehan Peralatan dan Naik Taraf Fasiliti bagi Program Pembangunan dan Pengukuhan Penghasilan Vaksin Negara.

The visit also provided an opportunity to review project progress, address implementation matters and ensure that NIBMโ€™s development initiatives are delivered effectively, according to plan and with meaningful impact for the nation.

NIBM remains committed to strengthening Malaysiaโ€™s biotechnology research, technology and innovation capabilities, while translating advances in science and technology into solutions that benefit the people and support national development.
