What a mission, but what a success!

Last night at approximately 23:30 one male suspect grabbed a phone out of Butzi's vehicle and sped off. Our K-SAPU team together with Sgt Muyenga and Reservist Constable Fourie search through Karibib for the vehicle but no success and one team chased in the direction of Okahandja.

Onyati Security put up a roadblock at Okahandja but unfortunately the vehicle was not spotted.

Today, after a lot of attempts and trying to find the right app to try and locate the phone we finally found a app that made it possible. The phone popped up in Windhoek.

We contacted Reservist Warrent Denzel Tombo from Windhoek to assist and for many hours of following the location of the phone and lots of patience eventually tonight at 23:33 the phone was found almost 24 hours later and one male suspect was detained!

A big thank you to everyone involved, especially the Windhoek team! 🙏🏻

Once again it just showed what difference team work can make!

A lesson learned, once again, make sure that your phone is enabled to show and track the location!

Three suspected livestock thieves are in custody in the Karibib police holding cells following their arrest on Saturday. They are expected to appear in the Karibib Magistrate's Court on Tuesday, facing a host of charges, including attempted murder and robbery with aggravating circumstances.
