🎓 Must every student go to university?

Let’s get real . . .

Not everyone needs a degree to succeed.

Some of the world’s most successful people never went to university— they built skills, businesses, and careers through experience.

The question isn’t

“Can you go to university?”

It’s

"What will make you successful?”

💡 Trade time for skill, not just a certificate.

Would you rather learn a skill or earn a degree first?

The Broken Pencil

Emeka was a creative boy with a talent for drawing and inventing, but he only had one old, broken pencil. Others laughed at his drawings, but he never stopped sketching his dreams.

After school, he delivered newspapers to help pay rent. Life was demanding, but Emeka believed his ideas could one day matter.

A local artist noticed his sketches at a school exhibit and introduced him to a scholarship for young inventors. Emeka studied design and technology, eventually inventing affordable tools for rural communities.

He returned home and started a makerspace for kids to create, learn, and dream.

Moral Lesson:

Even the smallest tools in your hand can build the biggest dreams. Talent, dedication, and persistence are unstoppable.

The Worn-Out Backpack

Amadi was a teenage girl living with her single father in a quiet village. Every morning, she carried her heavy, torn backpack to school. Some classmates teased her about it, but Amadi never let their words stop her from learning.

After school, she helped her father repair bicycles for neighbors. Money was tight, and some nights they went to bed without dinner. Still, Amadi dreamed of becoming an engineer one day.

One day, a new school principal noticed how determined and diligent she was. Impressed, he connected her with a local foundation that offered scholarships to bright but underprivileged students. Months later, Amadi received the support she needed to continue her studies.

Years later, Amadi became a leading engineer. Returning to her village, she set up a workshop to train young girls in STEM skills for free. Standing there, she thought of her old torn backpack and the struggles she had overcome. She smiled and said, “Challenges didn’t break me; they built me.”

Moral Lesson:

Difficulties don’t define your life; perseverance, hard work, and hope do. Keep going—your breakthrough might be closer than you think.

Recharging the Battery: It's a "Me" Weekend

The beauty of this profession is that when the weekend hits, the time is 100% mine.

Taking these two days to completely detach from work is how I keep my passion alive without burning out.

Cheers to a weekend dedicated entirely to self-care, family, and relaxation! 🥂✨

The Behind-the-Scenes Reality of Third Term

Third term isn’t just the final lap of the academic year; it is officially the most stressful session for every teacher.

Right now, the workload is at an all-time high:

📝 Marking external scripts (WAEC, NECO, BECE)
🏫 Grading internal school exams
📑 Compiling TWO separate report cards (Third Term + the Cumulative Year Report)

Before you congratulate a teacher on the upcoming holidays, remember the mountain of scripts they have to climb over first! 🧗‍♀️

Sending strength to everyone handling the red pens this season.

Teachers wearing trousers to school, Right or Wrong?

For decades, the image of the traditional school teacher was rigidly defined:

A crisp button - down and tie for men, and a knee - length skirt or dress for women.

But as education evolves, so does the classroom environment.

Today, the debate over teachers wearing trousers — particularly female educators in regions where traditional dress codes still strictly enforce skirts — is moving to the forefront.

Is allowing trousers a slip toward unprofessionalism, or is it a necessary nod to practicality and equality?
