Resistance is part of the Vision.
Last week Monday, in our monthly community webinar, I said to the women in my community that resistance is part of the vision.
In fact, you should expect resistance.
It is not being “negative”, it is being wise.
The lie we have believed is that if we truly have a burning passion, and we are on the right path, there would be no resistance.
This is part of why we have such fickle and weak people running businesses, coaching others, and hosting conferences.
The people whose lives have impacted you and still do (including me) have experienced resistance in all shapes and forms - internally and externally.
But do you know why they are who they are now?
Because over time, they have gained mastery in pursuing a vision while going headlong against resistance.
They decided to outwit it.
You set a goal to hit $10k this year in your coaching business, there will be resistance.
You desire to move from size 18 to size 8, there will be resistance.
You should expect it, so you don’t act surprised.
As you set your goals, also look forward to possible resistance and have a solution ahead of time.
Yes, I know there will be more resistance than you imagined.
But is that not what makes us wiser, increases our capacity, and grounds us in character?
So, if you are on to something, and you knew it would stretch you, but it is even harder than you expected…
Do not run to the path of least resistance.
It is, in fact, an insult to your potential.
Growth happens where resistance lives.
Yes, resistance has built a house there…
But your vision is stronger.
And you?
You are stronger than your resistance, whether internal or external.
